Yokohama Luggage Storage: Enjoy the City, Travel Lighter

Enjoy Yokohama’s waterfront, gardens and museum days with a smaller bag. With Silk Crane, send the extra suitcase from your hotel into monthly or annual storage and arrange delivery to a later stay. Keep the things you need for the coming days with you; shipping is charged separately.
Choose storage for your Yokohama trip
A month of Japan, then a few days by the harbor

Picture a Yokohama stay at the start of a month exploring Japan. Your larger suitcase holds shopping and clothes for a cruise at the end, but you only need a smaller bag for the weeks between. Send the suitcase from your hotel to Silk Crane, keeping your travel essentials with you.
Before returning to Yokohama, arrange delivery to the hotel where you will stay before sailing. There is no storage collection trip to fit around your train arrival—just time for the Red Brick Warehouse shops, a Chinatown lunch and an evening beside the water. Collect your suitcase at the hotel before heading to your cruise terminal.
Choose local holding around today’s return route
The Yokohama Station luggage guide and Shin-Yokohama Station guide cover different railway hubs. Use the station you will actually return to, and note the bank and gate access before leaving a bag.
For a short outing, agreed hotel holding may fit a return to the same hotel. A museum locker or information-desk service follows that attraction’s arrangements. Check your suitcase size and collection time before relying on either. For belongings needed only at a later stay, shipment to Silk Crane removes the local collection trip.
Plan Yokohama as connected local outings
Central waterfront: choose Sakuragicho, Minatomirai, Bashamichi or Nihon-odori around the day’s actual stops. The Minato Mirai waterfront guide, Red Brick Warehouse guide and Yamashita Park guide serve different visits. Cup Noodles Museum, the art museum and Osanbashi each have their own practical luggage answer.
Chinatown, Motomachi and Yamate: use the Chinatown luggage guide for the food streets and railway approaches. Give Yamate’s slopes and heritage houses their own walking plan. Farther south in Honmoku, Sankeien needs an entrance and transport plan; its published lockers are at the main gate.
Outer-city visits: Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum fits its own railway district. Zoorasia is a separate western-city outing with different main- and north-gate lockers. Hakkeijima Sea Paradise is on the southern waterfront and has several locker banks. Treat these as distinct days or deliberate journeys, rather than extensions of a short central harbor walk.
Choose the central waterfront station
Use the Sakuragicho Station guide or Minatomirai Station guide when those stations fit your route. The new station guides below cover additional arrivals separately.

Receive the cruise case before heading to the terminal
Check the terminal named on your cruise booking and follow the operator’s boarding and luggage instructions. Not every Yokohama departure uses Osanbashi. Arrange Silk Crane delivery to the hotel where you will stay before sailing, with time for shipping and reception ready to receive it. Collect the case there before travelling to the terminal.
Osanbashi’s visitor lockers have their own collection hours. Access to a harbor viewpoint does not establish round-the-clock access to indoor luggage facilities. Keep passports, medicine and travel documents with you.
Check the particular venue for events and smaller outings
A concert, stadium event, garden visit or historic house can have its own bag rules and opening calendar. Use current venue information before travelling with a case. A nearby station locker does not establish storage at the event entrance.
For a short stop beyond these routes, first choose the exact station, entrance and return journey. Keep spare belongings at an agreed collection point or send them into storage before the outing. This makes the travel plan useful without requiring a separate suitcase trip between every stop.
Send the extra case and arrange its return
Book your storage plan and follow the sending instructions. Ask your hotel front desk to help arrange shipment, or use a convenience store that accepts it or a Yamato service center. Keep the things you need during shipping with you.
Silk Crane receives belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Confirm that your later hotel can receive the case and plan your Yokohama storage and delivery dates. Shipping is charged separately, as explained in the storage and shipping cost guide.
Questions before you go
Is Yokohama Station the best arrival for every attraction?
Choose the station and entrance for the actual visit. Central waterfront stops, Zoorasia and Hakkeijima have quite different approaches.
Should I use a station or an attraction guide?
Use the station article for arrival and collection. Use the visitor article for that attraction’s bag rules, lockers and route.
Can Silk Crane deliver directly to my cruise ship?
Arrange delivery to your later hotel using the storage instructions and confirm reception. Collect the suitcase before travelling to your cruise terminal.
Can I store luggage locally and finish elsewhere?
Include the return to your collection point. For a spare case needed only at a later hotel, arrange shipment into storage before leaving.
