Imagine a harbor afternoon between a Yokohama stay and several days elsewhere in Japan. You want the view from Osanbashi’s deck, while your extra suitcase contains things for a later hotel. Arrange shipment from your hotel into Silk Crane storage and take only what you need for the intervening journey.
You can enjoy the waterfront with a compact bag. If a cruise follows, arrange delivery to the hotel before embarkation, allow shipping time and confirm reception. Keep travel documents with you and follow the cruise operator’s instructions for reaching the actual terminal.
Use the terminal’s current locker instructions
The Osanbashi visitor services guide locates lockers in the second-floor lobby. The dedicated current locker page gives service hours of 9:00–21:30 and payment by cash, credit card, transportation IC card or QR payment.
Retain the claim ticket used to retrieve the bag. The published compartments are 35 cm wide and 67 cm deep, with different heights; measure the whole case, including wheels and handles. Fees are charged again after midnight, and reservations are not available. Check the machine before depositing.
Keep the rooftop, lockers and cruise check-in distinct
A walk on the terminal roof and access to indoor baggage facilities have different practical limits. Collect within the locker service hours even if your sightseeing continues later. Allow time to walk back from another waterfront attraction.
Use the terminal named on your cruise documents. Osanbashi’s lockers are not a promise of storage at every Yokohama cruise facility, nor a replacement for the cruise line’s luggage drop and boarding instructions. Delivery of Silk Crane belongings should be arranged to your later hotel according to the sending instructions, with time before embarkation.
Send the extra case and arrange its return
Book your storage plan and follow the sending instructions. Ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment, or use a convenience store that accepts it or a Yamato service center. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you.
