Explore Sarushima’s wooded paths and brick passages without bringing the spare suitcase along for the crossing. With Silk Crane, send your extra suitcase from your hotel into monthly or annual storage and arrange delivery to a later stay. Shipping is charged separately.
Choose storage for your Yokosuka trip
An island outing during a longer coastal trip
Picture a Sarushima visit between several nights around the coast. Your larger suitcase carries clothes and purchases for a later city stay. Arrange shipment from your hotel to Silk Crane and pack the coastal essentials in a smaller bag.
On the island, you can enjoy the brick passages and leafy paths without pulling that case behind you. Arrange its delivery to the later hotel with time for shipping, and keep your day’s ferry ticket, water and essentials with you.

Choose mainland or island holding before boarding
The Sarushima operator’s luggage FAQ confirms lockers at both locations. Leaving a bag on the mainland can avoid taking it onto the ferry; check the terminal locker’s fit and collection instructions before paying.
The island facilities guide places island lockers in the management building’s third-floor multipurpose hall. Each use costs ¥500 without a coin refund. Its largest listed compartment is 36 cm wide, 48 cm deep and 77 cm high. Measure your case rather than assuming every suitcase fits.
Make collection part of the return-ferry plan
Mikasa Terminal is the Sarushima departure point. The operator’s current sailing status matters even when your land journey is straightforward. Allow time to collect any island bag before joining the return sailing.
Use the timetable for your season and confirm the final return before exploring. If you leave luggage at the mainland terminal or Yokosuka-chuo, build collection into the journey after landing. The harbor sightseeing cruise at Coaska is a different service.
Send the extra case and arrange its return
Book your storage plan and follow the sending instructions. Ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment, or use a convenience store that accepts it or a Yamato service center. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you.
Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately. Before sending, confirm that your later hotel can receive the case and plan your luggage delivery dates around Yokosuka. The storage and shipping cost guide explains the separate charges.
