You can take the garden paths with a compact bag, stopping beside the pond without maneuvering a large suitcase. Arrange delivery of the stored case to your later hotel with shipping time allowed, so the day does not end with a trip back for it.
Check the main-gate lockers before your visit
Sankeien’s official locker answer locates lockers beside the main-gate reception. Four large compartments measure 77 cm high, 41 cm wide and 46 cm deep; twelve small ones measure 51 cm high, 36 cm wide and 42 cm deep. A ¥100 coin is returned after use.
Measure your packed case, including its wheels and handles. This published arrangement does not establish counter holding for a case that exceeds those dimensions. If it will not fit, agree another place before travelling to the garden.
Choose the entrance before choosing the bus
Use the garden’s current access directions for the actual route from your station. The locker information names the main gate; do not assume the same bank is waiting at another entrance.
Keep the locker key and what you need for the visit with you, then return to collect before leaving. Check the garden calendar for the day’s opening arrangements, particularly when an event changes the usual visit pattern.
Send the extra case and arrange its return
Book your storage plan and follow the sending instructions. Ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment, or use a convenience store that accepts it or a Yamato service center. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you.
