Hiroshima luggage storage: leave a floor-standing suitcase with hotel staff and enjoy a garden walk with a small bag.

Hiroshima Luggage Storage: Make Time for the City

Give Hiroshima time for riverside walks, Shukkeien’s garden paths and a good meal in the city. With Silk Crane’s monthly and annual storage, send the belongings you can leave out of a longer Japan journey from your hotel front desk or a convenience store and explore with a smaller bag. Arrange delivery to a later hotel when you need the suitcase again. Shipping is charged separately.

For luggage you need tonight, your hotel or station storage may suit the visit. Choose the collection point around where you will sleep and where you go next.

Picture a Hiroshima stay with less to carry

Imagine arriving after a week of shopping elsewhere in Japan, with several more weeks ahead. The spare clothes and purchases can wait; a smaller bag is enough for the next part of the journey. After signing up with Silk Crane, send the packed suitcase from your Hiroshima hotel using the instructions you receive.

Spend a quiet afternoon in Shukkeien, then enjoy dinner without a locker collection on the way. Arrange delivery of the stored bag to a later hotel that can receive it, allowing time for shipping. Keep the clothes, medication and travel documents you need now with you.

If you are already out with the packed suitcase, you can send it from a convenience store before continuing your Hiroshima stay.

A few hours, an overnight stay or several weeks?

For a short stop between trains, station storage keeps collection close to your onward connection. For a city stay, ask your hotel about holding luggage before check-in or after checkout and agree a collection time.

If the bag is needed at the next hotel, direct forwarding may be the better fit. If it can skip a longer stretch, storage lets you continue without carrying it at every stop. Silk Crane has no walk-in Hiroshima counter; its monthly and annual service involves sending the bag and arranging later delivery.

Start with current station information

Hiroshima Station has locker options and the Crosta luggage counter. The counter moved to the second floor in July 2026, so older directions can send you to the wrong place. Use Crosta Hiroshima’s current service guide and our Hiroshima Station luggage guide before setting off with your suitcase.

Check the actual storage terms, closing time and bag acceptance. A listed counter or locker bank does not guarantee space when you arrive. Give yourself a fallback before a booked museum visit or an onward train.

Choose a shopping stop that fits your Hiroshima stay

For shops and lunch in the city center, Hondori and Okonomimura makes a different outing from shopping at minamoa and ekie around Hiroshima Station. Keep station retail close to your rail departure; give the downtown arcade time of its own.

If your Hiroshima stay includes a dedicated outlet day, plan it separately from the central walking route. THE OUTLETS HIROSHIMA is in Saeki-ku; use its official access guide before choosing transport. Avoid squeezing the outing between a ferry return and a train departure.

New clothes and packed purchases can join the belongings you send into storage for later in Japan. Our shopping-to-storage guide explains the next step. Keep food, liquids and valuables out of the shipment.

Give each part of Hiroshima the time it needs

Shukkeien offers a different pace from the station: a landscaped garden around a pond, with paths and bridges to enjoy slowly. The garden’s official introduction helps you choose it as part of your stay. Leave a large suitcase before heading into the garden.

For Peace Memorial Park and the museum, arrange luggage first so you can give the visit your attention. Follow the separate Peace Memorial Park luggage guide for the collection-route decision and links to visitor information.

Miyajima needs its own luggage decision

Miyajima is an island excursion outside Hiroshima city. A day trip that returns to the same hotel is different from an island overnight stay or a journey continuing west. Our Miyajima luggage guide separates the island, mainland Miyajimaguchi and Hiroshima Station.

Avoid leaving the suitcase somewhere that forces a long return simply to collect it. Confirm the next hotel’s receiving arrangements if you choose forwarding or later delivery from storage.

Questions before you leave your bag

Where can I leave luggage in Hiroshima for a few hours?

Ask your hotel about holding it, or check Hiroshima Station lockers and the current Crosta counter. Choose around where you will collect it afterward.

Is the station luggage counter still on the first floor?

Crosta’s current guide places it on the second floor after its July 2026 move. Use the operator’s current directions rather than an older tourism listing.

Should I leave luggage in Hiroshima before Miyajima?

That can work for a day trip returning through Hiroshima. An overnight island stay or a different onward route may call for hotel holding, forwarding or another collection point.

Can I send luggage into Silk Crane storage from Hiroshima?

Yes, follow your storage sending instructions from your hotel or a convenience store. Arrange later delivery ahead and keep essentials with you during shipping.
