Choose storage for your Hiroshima trip
A central-city stop without the extra case
Imagine a Hiroshima break before several short stays farther west. You send the larger suitcase from your hotel to Silk Crane, keep what you need in a compact bag and arrange the case’s delivery to a later hotel.
From Kencho-mae, you can enjoy the central-city walk and continue with a small bag. The spare suitcase no longer adds an extra retrieval stop before your next connection.

Find the Astram locker bank and note its access
Astram’s official locker guidance lists Kencho-mae among the stations with lockers, accessible from 6 a.m. to midnight. Check current charges, payment instructions and fit on the locker itself, then save the location and receipt or access code.
A locker is useful when you need the same case later today and will pass back through Kencho-mae. If your sightseeing ends elsewhere, agreed hotel holding or storage at your departure point may avoid a return across town.
Collect first, then make the bus or tram connection
Kencho-mae’s station information identifies the underground Astram station and nearby Kamiyacho tram connections. For a bus departure, check the Hiroshima Bus Center access guide and your boarding details. A station locker does not put your suitcase beside the bus bay.
If you visit the castle grounds and Sannomaru, allow time for the walk back and collection. Keep the bus departure or hotel check-in time separate from the locker’s midnight access limit.
Send the extra case and arrange its return
Book your storage plan and follow the sending instructions. Ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment, or use a convenience store that accepts it or a Yamato service center. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you.
Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately. Before sending, confirm that your later hotel can receive the case and plan your luggage delivery dates around Hiroshima. The storage and shipping cost guide explains the separate charges.
