Hiroshima bus travel: a man leaves a suitcase with hotel staff, then walks through a bus terminal with a shoulder bag.

Hiroshima Bus Center Luggage Storage: Before Your Next Bus

Leave room for a Hiroshima afternoon before your next bus. With Silk Crane, send the extra suitcase from your hotel front desk or a convenience store into monthly or annual storage and arrange delivery to a later stop. Travel with a smaller bag between destinations; shipping is charged separately.

Choose storage for your Hiroshima trip

Picture lunch before an afternoon departure

Imagine leaving your Hiroshima hotel for the next leg of a month in Japan. The extra clothes and shopping can wait until your final hotel, so you sign up with Silk Crane and use the supplied sending instructions at your hotel front desk. If you have already checked out with the packed suitcase, you can send it from a convenience store before continuing.

With clothes, documents and medicine for the next stops in a small travel bag, enjoy lunch in central Hiroshima and head to your bus without a suitcase detour. Arrange the stored case’s delivery ahead of the later stay. If you need your case at tonight’s destination, use local holding and collect it before boarding instead.

Use the bus center’s own luggage facilities

The official terminal guide lists locker access from 05:30 to 24:00. The published charges are ¥500 for small, ¥600 for medium and ¥800 for large compartments. Follow the payment and storage-period instructions on the locker you choose.

If a bag does not fit or the lockers are full, the terminal office offers paid holding for that day between 09:00 and 20:00. Ask about acceptance and the collection arrangement before leaving the case. This earlier deadline matters if your bus leaves late at night.

Use the terminal’s locker map or ask for directions on arrival. Information and ticket-desk hours differ from luggage access. Our Kencho-mae Station guide covers the nearby railway station’s own lockers.

Collect first, then go to the correct boarding point

Check that your ticket actually departs from Hiroshima Bus Center. Buses around Hiroshima use several departure points; a central-city location is not interchangeable with Hiroshima Station.

Save a photograph of your locker number and its location. Return with time for collection, tickets and the walk to your boarding point. If using the office service, plan around its 20:00 collection limit rather than the terminal’s midnight closing.

For an airport or intercity bus, check the operator’s baggage rules for that service. A bag fitting a locker does not establish its bus allowance. Keep valuables and the essentials for the journey with you.

Give downtown shopping a clear finishing time

For a shopping and food stop before your bus, the Hondori and Okonomimura guide helps separate browsing from lunch. Finish with enough time to collect luggage and reach the boarding point named on your ticket.

If you use Shareo’s lockers while shopping, follow the Shareo service directory. Those lockers have their own charging and access arrangements; the bus center’s midnight locker access does not apply to every nearby facility. Packed shopping you do not need during the next stops can be sent to Silk Crane for later delivery.

Send the extra case and arrange its return

Book your storage plan and follow the sending instructions. Ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment, or use a convenience store or a Yamato service center. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you.

Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately. Before sending, confirm that your later hotel can receive the case and plan your luggage delivery dates around Hiroshima. The storage and shipping cost guide explains the separate charges.

Questions before you go

Does Hiroshima Bus Center have luggage lockers?

Yes. The terminal publishes lockers in three sizes with access from 05:30 to midnight. An empty compartment in your required size is not guaranteed.

What if my suitcase does not fit?

Ask the terminal office about its paid same-day holding, listed from 09:00 to 20:00, for bags that do not fit or when lockers are full.

Are these the Kencho-mae Station lockers?

No. The bus center and Astram station have separate facilities and collection arrangements.

Can Silk Crane return my suitcase at the bus center tonight?

Silk Crane uses shipment into storage and later delivery arranged ahead. Choose local holding for a suitcase you need to collect before today’s bus.
