Where can you store luggage in Sapporo?
For a suitcase you need back tonight, look at station lockers, a booked local storage location or holding arranged with your hotel. For belongings that can skip the next part of your trip, Silk Crane lets you send them into storage and arrange delivery at a later stop.
| Option | Useful when | Plan before leaving the bag |
|---|---|---|
| Silk Crane | You want to continue through Japan without returning to a Sapporo storage point. | Monthly or annual storage, plus separate shipping charges. Allow time for sending and later delivery. |
| Station lockers | You will collect the bag locally after sightseeing. | Check the locker’s size, payment, charging period and access hours. An installed locker is not a vacant locker. |
| Booked local storage | You want to reserve a local drop-off before exploring. | Check the specific address, opening hours, accepted bags and final booking price. |
| Your hotel | Your route brings you back to the hotel. | Ask whether it will hold your bags before check-in or after checkout, and agree collection time. Policies vary. |
Silk Crane or Bounce for your Sapporo trip?
The useful question is where you want the suitcase next. Bounce’s Sapporo Station Vicinity listing offers local drop-off and collection; Silk Crane stores luggage sent in and arranges delivery to a later destination. If you will finish sightseeing back near the same station, local holding may fit. If the trip continues elsewhere, avoiding a return journey for the suitcase is a practical reason to choose Silk Crane.
As checked on 4 October 2026, Bounce’s Sapporo Station Vicinity listing advertises storage from ¥500 per day and hours of 10:00–18:30. Those details describe this location, not every Bounce location. Check your dates, bag category and final total when booking.
Bounce also offers a separate Japan luggage-delivery service with Yamato. That forwarding product is distinct from its local storage listings. Compare the actual service you need: local holding, point-to-point delivery, or Silk Crane’s monthly or annual storage with later delivery.
For a longer gap, compare the full price for the same bags and dates: the local provider’s booking total versus Silk Crane’s storage plan plus sending and return shipping. Silk Crane’s advantage here is the journey you can make without collecting the suitcase in Sapporo; this is not a claim that every trip costs less.
Choose the part of Sapporo you will return to
Sapporo Station: JR, subway and shopping-area collection suits a train-based day. JR and subway lockers are separate; save the exact bank before heading out.
Odori, Susukino and Tanukikoji: storage for shopping and an evening out helps you choose a collection point near the end of your route. For individual subway banks, use the Odori Station locker guide.

A smaller bag for the middle of your holiday

Questions before you choose
What if the Sapporo lockers are full?
Check another bank that fits your return route, ask your hotel about holding, or check a bookable local storage location. Keep collection hours in your plan. Shipping to Silk Crane is an option for belongings needed later, not an instant replacement for same-day collection.
Can I leave a bag overnight?
Check the chosen service’s rules and access hours. Sapporo subway lockers have a maximum continuous use of 72 hours and charge in 12-hour periods; JR and shop lockers have their own rules. See the subway operator’s locker information.
Does Silk Crane have a Sapporo Station counter?
No. Send luggage using the instructions supplied after signup and arrange later delivery. Use local storage for bags you need back today.
