Chitose travel planning: send the spare suitcase from your hotel and continue with a small bag.

Chitose Station Luggage Storage: Lockers and Tourist Information

Enjoy a Chitose stop without taking every suitcase through the city. Silk Crane stores luggage sent from your hotel front desk or a convenience store and arranges delivery when you need it again. Monthly and annual plans suit belongings that can skip the next part of the trip; shipping is charged separately.

Plan storage for your Chitose and Hokkaido journey

Today’s bag: Chitose Tourist Information

Chitose Tourist Information is inside JR Chitose Station, at Chiyodacho 7-chome. Its official baggage-holding announcement links to a bilingual flyer with hours of 09:00–16:30 and size-based charges starting at ¥500 per piece per day. Payment is by credit card or electronic money, not cash.

Ask the desk to price your bag and agree the collection deadline before heading out. This early closing time matters if you plan dinner or an evening train. Use the tourism association’s baggage-service flyer for the full size categories and current posted terms.

A Chitose pause before another part of Japan

Picture checking out in Chitose with purchases and clothing you will not need for several more stops. After signing up for Silk Crane, use the supplied instructions to send that suitcase from your hotel front desk or a convenience store. Keep your overnight bag and everything needed during shipping with you.

You can then enjoy the next stop without a collection detour to Chitose. Arrange delivery to your later hotel in advance. A bag you need for tonight belongs in your local holding plan instead.

Hand over a suitcase at the hotel and keep a smaller bag for the next Hokkaido stops.
Leave the spare case out of the next part of your journey.

Chitose Station coin lockers

JR Hokkaido’s station coin-locker list includes Chitose Station. Use it to check the listed sizes and charges, then follow the instructions on the locker you choose. Save a photo of the bank, its location and the collection information before walking away.

Locker capacity is limited. If the available space does not fit your bag, check the tourist-information desk during its opening hours or ask your hotel about holding. Keep the collection route in your plan; Chitose’s station lockers are not the airport terminal lockers.

A convenience-store stop, then a lighter day

Already out with a suitcase you will not need for the next part of the trip? Picture sending it from a convenience store, then carrying on with a small bag. Sign up for Silk Crane, follow the supplied sending instructions, keep your essentials during shipping and arrange delivery to a later hotel in Japan.

Chitose Station or New Chitose Airport Station?

Chitose Station is the city stop. New Chitose Airport Station serves the airport and sits on B1F of the Domestic Terminal, as shown in the airport’s official JR access guide. Choose the station name carefully when checking a train or arranging collection.

A bag left at Chitose Station still needs to be collected there before you travel to the airport. For terminal lockers, storage counters, the airport video and shipped-bag collection, use the New Chitose Airport luggage guide. Our separate CTS shopping guide covers brands, floors and shopping before security.

Send the spare suitcase and choose delivery later

Choose monthly or annual storage for your Chitose plans before sending. Use the supplied instructions to send ordinary luggage from your hotel front desk or a convenience store. Keep your passport, medicines and the clothing you need through shipping with you. Shipping is charged separately.

Arrange delivery to a later hotel where you can unpack, or plan airport collection ahead for your departure. Use the hotel and airport delivery guide for the next part of your trip for timing. Silk Crane has no walk-in counter at the station or airport; use local holding for bags needed again today.
