Susukino Nightlife Guide: Bars, Live Jazz, Karaoke and Late Parfaits
Share
Enjoy Susukino after dark with room to choose the evening as it unfolds. Silk Crane stores spare luggage sent from your hotel front desk or a convenience store and arranges later delivery. Monthly and annual storage is available, with shipping charged separately.
Choose the kind of night you want: a carefully made cocktail, whisky, a live jazz set, karaoke with friends or a parfait after dinner. The useful differences are atmosphere, admission arrangements and the full bill—not simply which door stays open latest.
Choose the atmosphere before the venue
BAR YAMAZAKI — a classic cocktail evening
Choose this for original cocktails and a traditional bar setting. The Japanese menu lists the “Sapporo” cocktail at ¥1,800 and non-alcoholic cocktails from ¥1,100.
Find it: Katsumi Building 4F, Minami 3-jo Nishi 3.
Plan the visit: The current Japanese menu lists a ¥1,500 seat charge plus 10% service. Older English pricing differs, so confirm when reserving. The site lists 18:00–00:30, closed Sundays. Budget for more than the drink price.
THE NIKKA BAR — a whisky-focused stop
A useful choice for comparing Nikka whiskies, with cocktails and food also available. Pick this when you want to spend time over the drinks rather than rush through several bars.
Find it: No. 3 Green Building 2F, Minami 4-jo Nishi 3-chome 1-2.
Plan the visit: The site lists 18:00–01:00 and links to reservations. Confirm the chosen pour or tasting price, seat and service charges before ordering; rare bottles and private rooms can change the total.
Slowboat — make the live set the main event
Choose this for live jazz in a small room close to the performers. Plan dinner around the show you want to hear rather than treating it as an unscheduled background-music stop.
Find it: Morini Building 4F, Minami 3-jo Nishi 3-chome 1-4.
Plan the visit: The official site lists 19:30–24:00, last orders 23:30, with irregular closing days. Use its live calendar for the exact performance, start time and charge, and confirm any drink order or reservation requirements. Do not apply one show’s price to every night.
Karaoke or a parfait after dinner
Karaoke Manekineko, Susukino No. 3 Green Building
A group can choose its own songs and pace in a karaoke room. Decide how long you want to sing before choosing the room plan.
Find it: No. 3 Green Building 8F, Minami 4-jo Nishi 3-1-1.
Plan the visit: Listed hours are 09:00–06:00 the next day. The chain requires membership and identification; ask which documents to bring. Check the per-person rate for your day and time, the minimum stay and drink arrangement. The headline room rate may not be the final bill.
Parfait, Coffee, Liquor, Sato — dessert toward Odori
A late parfait gives the evening a different finish, with coffee as an alternative to another alcoholic drink. This stop is toward Odori, rather than in the southern Susukino bar streets.
Find it: Main shop: Minami 1-jo Nishi 2-chome 1-2, Ki NINARU Building.
Plan the visit: Its official account lists 13:00–24:00 Sunday–Thursday and 13:00–01:00 Friday–Saturday. Use the current main-shop address: older descriptions place the business near Tanukikoji 1-chome. Check the current menu and queue before setting off.
Pack in the afternoon, enjoy the evening
Picture an afternoon in your Sapporo hotel after shopping, with another stretch of Japan travel ahead. Sign up for Silk Crane, pack the spare clothing and purchases using the supplied instructions, and send them from your hotel front desk or a convenience store. Keep the things needed through shipping in your smaller bag.
With later hotel delivery arranged in advance, choose dinner and one evening stop without a suitcase at your side. If another bag is held locally for collection tonight, retrieve it before heading to the bar or performance.

Plan the full bill and the journey back
Before sitting down, check the seat or cover charge, service charge, drink prices and any minimum order. For live music, ask whether the quoted price includes admission only or also a drink. For karaoke, check the rate per person and the length of the session. These details matter more than comparing two headline drink prices.
Choose a return route before the first stop. Susukino Station’s Nanboku Line timetable and Hosui-Susukino Station’s Toho Line timetable are separate: check the direction and any final connection you need. If you stay beyond that journey, plan the walk to your hotel or a taxi.
A late-opening venue does not keep the shopping arcade’s buildings or your locker entrance open. Use the local luggage collection guide for your bag’s own deadline.
Send before checkout or while you are out
Picture setting aside the suitcase you will not need for the next part of the trip. Send it from your hotel front desk before checkout, or from a convenience store while you are out. Sign up for Silk Crane, use the supplied sending instructions and keep your essentials during shipping. Arrange delivery to your later hotel in Japan.

Two ways to shape the evening
Conversation first: choose a Susukino dinner, then one cocktail or whisky venue. Leave time to settle in rather than making the night a checklist of bars.
Performance first: choose the live show, reserve if needed, and work dinner around its start. Alternatively, sing with friends or finish with a parfait. Earlier shopping around Tanukikoji and Odori can fit either plan once the bags are sorted.
Questions before you go
Can I enjoy this area without drinking alcohol?
Yes. BAR YAMAZAKI lists non-alcoholic cocktails, and a parfait with coffee or a karaoke session offers another kind of evening. Check the chosen venue’s ordering terms.
Is a seat charge included in the cocktail price?
Do not assume so. BAR YAMAZAKI’s Japanese menu lists a separate seat charge and service charge. Check the charging structure at each venue.
Should I follow one fixed last-train time?
Check the official timetable for your station, direction and any connection. Susukino and Hosui-Susukino serve different subway lines.
Keep the spare luggage out of the next part of your trip
Choose Silk Crane’s monthly or annual luggage storage and use the instructions supplied after signup. Send ordinary luggage from your hotel front desk or a convenience store, keep essentials through shipping, and arrange delivery to a later hotel or an airport counter planned for your flight. Shipping is charged separately.
For bags you need back tonight, use our Odori–Susukino local luggage guide and check collection access before dinner. Silk Crane stores luggage sent in for later delivery; it has no walk-in counter in Susukino.
