Odaiba Luggage Storage: Enjoy the Waterfront with Less

Leave room for a waterfront walk and an unhurried Odaiba afternoon. With Silk Crane, send the larger suitcase from your hotel front desk or a convenience store, enjoy the bay with a small bag and arrange delivery to a later hotel. Monthly or annual storage and separately charged shipping keep the spare case out of your next journey.

Choose storage for your Tokyo trip

An open-air afternoon between Tokyo and the next stop

Imagine a Tokyo stay followed by several days travelling through Japan. You sign up for Silk Crane, follow the supplied instructions and send the spare suitcase and packed shopping from your hotel front desk or a convenience store. Keep the clothes, documents and other essentials needed during shipping in a smaller bag, and arrange delivery to your final hotel before flying home.

Already out with the suitcase after checkout? A convenience store can be your sending point. Once the extra case is on its way to storage, browse Odaiba's shops and walk beside the bay with less to carry. If another bag waits at a local locker, plan that collection before settling in for the view across the water.

Choose the locker bank that fits your Odaiba day

For a bag needed again today, the DiverCity Tokyo Plaza locker guide gives useful bank-by-bank details:

  • 1F, near Tokyo Teleport Gate: small, medium and large lockers, listed as available 24 hours.
  • 2F, near Zepp Gate: small lockers, with listed access from 09:00 to 22:00.
  • 3F, near the west elevator: small, medium and large lockers, with listed access from 07:00 to midnight.

The listed large compartments at the 1F bank measure 85.6 cm high, 34.2 cm wide and 66.3 cm deep. Compare the whole suitcase, including its wheels and handles, and check the actual bank's vacancy and current collection instructions before paying.

Save the floor, entrance and locker number. DiverCity's Tokyo Teleport Gate is a mall entrance, not the railway's ticket gate. A late waterfront walk still needs a workable route back to the selected bank. If your day ends elsewhere, agreed hotel holding may be easier for a bag you need again that evening.

Make the waterfront route fit luggage collection

Tokyo’s official Odaiba visitor guide describes the Rinkai Line and Yurikamome approaches. Tokyo Teleport is a Rinkai Line station, while Daiba and Odaiba-kaihinkoen are Yurikamome stations. Choose the one that fits the places you want to visit. If your route continues through Toyosu, use the Toyosu Station guide for that separate transfer and collection plan.

Leave time for the walk back to locally held luggage before changing to the next railway or other transport. For a separate Toyosu art visit, use the teamLab Planets guide. Borderless is now at Azabudai Hills, so it should not be added to an Odaiba plan using its old address.

Send the extra case and arrange its return

Sign up for your storage plan and follow the supplied sending instructions. Send from your hotel front desk or a convenience store, keeping documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you. A Yamato service center is another sending option.

Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately. Before sending, confirm that your later hotel can receive the case and plan your luggage delivery dates around Tokyo. The storage and shipping cost guide explains the separate charges.

Questions before you go

Where can I look for lockers around Odaiba shopping?

DiverCity’s official guide lists banks including the 1F Tokyo Teleport Gate area. Check their actual fit, vacancy and access before relying on them.

Are Tokyo Teleport and Daiba the same station?

No. Tokyo Teleport is on the Rinkai Line; Daiba is on the Yurikamome. Save the railway and station for your collection route.

Can I leave by another route after storing a bag?

Plan a return to the exact locker first. A pleasant one-way waterfront walk may otherwise leave your bag behind in a different part of Odaiba.

Can Silk Crane send my stored shopping to the final hotel?

Yes. Arrange delivery to the hotel that can receive it, with shipping time allowed. Keep the essentials for the current part of the trip with you.
