Shinagawa luggage storage: send your suitcase from the hotel and enjoy Izu with a smaller bag.

Shinagawa Station Luggage Storage: Lockers and Haneda Connections

Take the next train from Shinagawa with less to carry. With Silk Crane, send extra luggage from your hotel front desk or a convenience store and arrange delivery when you need it again.

Shinagawa is useful for train journeys and airport connections, but luggage storage should not add another complicated transfer. With Silk Crane, the hotel front desk or a nearby convenience store is your sending point. Later delivery removes the need to return to the same counter.

Plan luggage storage from Shinagawa

This is storage arranged by shipping, with later delivery—not a walk-in counter. For bags you need again today or the next morning, keep them in local short-stay storage.

From Shinagawa to the Izu coast

Send your suitcase from Shinagawa and enjoy the Izu part of the trip with a smaller bag.

Picture a Tokyo stay followed by a week of coastal towns and hot-spring inns around Izu. The larger suitcase has clothes and shopping for the full holiday, but the coastal stretch needs far less. Sign up for Silk Crane, use the supplied sending instructions and send from your hotel front desk or a convenience store. Keep the belongings needed during shipping in a smaller bag. If you are already out after checkout, use a convenience store as the sending point before continuing to Izu.

You can choose the next inn for its view or atmosphere, without planning around a suitcase collection trip. Later, arrange delivery to your last hotel for packing, or to the named Haneda counter if the bags are ready for the flight.

A convenience-store stop, then a lighter day

Already out with a suitcase you will not need for the next part of the trip? Picture sending it from a convenience store, then carrying on with a small bag. Sign up for Silk Crane, follow the supplied sending instructions, keep your essentials during shipping and arrange delivery to a later hotel in Japan.

Choose holding around the connection you will make

For a bag needed later today, JR East’s Shinagawa guide describes lockers inside the gates and outside options along the Konan-side taxi area. Use current station signs to locate the bank and check its actual size, vacancy and collection terms.

Save the locker number, gate side and nearby current sign. An inside-gate bank requires suitable railway access when you return. A case left on the Konan side may add a walk if your later journey starts from the Takanawa side.

JR East Logistics also lists a Shinagawa baggage room at Event Space YK inside the central ticket gates. The current listing is 10:00–19:00, with January 1 closed. Check the operating notice and collect before closing; access to this JR paid area is separate from arriving on Keikyu. This may help with a case that will not fit a locker, subject to the counter’s terms.

Allow collection time between JR, Shinkansen and Keikyu

JR conventional trains, the Shinkansen and Keikyu use different gate areas at Shinagawa. Check the route for the service on your ticket, including any airport connection, before deciding where to leave a bag. Collect first, then follow the current signs to the departure gates.

If the day includes sightseeing before you travel, the Tokyo Tower and Zojoji guide explains a separate visitor outing. Keep enough time to return to Shinagawa for any locally stored bag; luggage sent to Silk Crane instead follows the later delivery arrangement you have made.

Make the connection fit the holiday

Shinagawa connects city stays with the Tokaido Shinkansen and travel toward Haneda. The nearby Tennozu area offers a different pace, with waterside walks and art spaces. If your trip continues through Izu, Kyoto or several hotel stays, send the luggage that can skip that stretch before the next part of the journey.

Start before the station

Send luggage from your hotel front desk or a convenience store before the next connection.

Keep the journey flexible

Store bags through several stops and decide where you want them delivered later.

Plan the flight separately

Choose final-hotel packing or a prearranged airport pickup to suit the bags and itinerary.

Send from your hotel front desk or a convenience store

Sign up for storage and follow the supplied address and sending instructions. Send the packed luggage from your hotel front desk or a convenience store; a Yamato service center is another option. Keep what you need during shipping in your smaller bag.

When you are ready, the waybill guide for your Shinagawa shipment walks you through the form.

Choose where you want the luggage next

Have the bags delivered to a later hotel, with time to unpack and finish your flight packing. Or arrange delivery to a Yamato airport pickup counter when everything is packed for departure. Share the destination and dates in advance; we confirm the counter for your airport and terminal.

Shinagawa luggage storage questions

Is there luggage storage near Shinagawa without finding a station counter?

Silk Crane offers planned storage with sending from your Shinagawa hotel or a nearby convenience store. Your luggage stays in storage while you travel, then goes to a later hotel or departure airport. You do not need to find a station drop-off point or return there to collect it.

Can I store luggage while traveling from Shinagawa to Izu and other stops?

Yes. Send larger bags to Silk Crane and take the belongings you need for the next stretch in a smaller bag. Arrange sending and return dates around the itinerary. For a single short overnight trip, direct forwarding may be simpler than a storage shipment in both directions.

Can stored bags go to Haneda after my Shinagawa stay?

Yes. Arrange delivery with Silk Crane in advance and provide your flight and terminal details. Follow the named collection counter for your shipment; the airport pickup floor depends on the terminal and carrier. Choose final-hotel delivery if you still need to reorganize the suitcase.

Can I send luggage into storage on the same day I fly from Haneda and collect it there?

Silk Crane storage requires shipping to storage and later delivery, so it does not solve a same-day gap before a flight. Keep bags you need that evening in local short-stay storage. For future trips, arranging storage and airport delivery ahead can remove the final collection detour.

More of the trip, less of the luggage

Choose a monthly or annual storage plan for the bags you can leave behind. Send from your hotel or a convenience store and arrange delivery when you want them again. Shipping is charged separately.
