Choose storage for your Tokyo trip

An art visit before the next hotel journey

Picture a Tokyo afternoon at Planets before several nights in smaller hotels around Japan. You sign up for Silk Crane and follow the supplied instructions to send the larger suitcase from your hotel front desk or a convenience store. Keep your documents, medicine and the belongings needed during shipping in a smaller bag, and arrange delivery to your final hotel.

If you are already out after checkout, you can use a convenience store as the sending point without returning to reception. At Planets, follow the venue's changing and locker instructions for today's belongings. Afterwards, there is time for a meal in Toyosu without a return trip for the spare case already sent into storage.

Know the difference between a small locker and large-luggage holding

The official teamLab Planets help page lists free lockers after the entrance gate measuring 23 cm wide by 34 cm deep by 37 cm high. These are for compact belongings, not a promise that a normal suitcase will fit.

The same page directs visitors with larger luggage to secure it themselves with a wire lock in the stroller-storage area. Check the current arrangement with staff and keep valuables with you. If you prefer to leave a large case at your hotel, agree holding before the visit. Follow the venue’s instructions for shoes and belongings in the water-based exhibition areas.

Choose Shin-Toyosu or Toyosu for the correct arrival

The official access guidance identifies Shin-Toyosu on the Yurikamome as the nearby approach. It also describes a walk from Tokyo Metro Toyosu Station Exit 7. These are different stations, so save the exact one if today’s luggage is held near the railway. The Toyosu Station guide covers the Metro and Yurikamome connection separately from the exhibition.

Planets in Toyosu is separate from teamLab Borderless at Azabudai Hills. Toyosu’s wholesale market is also a separate destination from the exhibition, and from Tsukiji Outer Market. Choose the address and collection route for the visit on your ticket.

Send the extra case and arrange its return

Sign up for your storage plan and follow the supplied sending instructions. Send from your hotel front desk or a convenience store, keeping documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you. A Yamato service center is another sending option.

Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately. Before sending, confirm that your later hotel can receive the case and plan your luggage delivery dates around Tokyo. The storage and shipping cost guide explains the separate charges.
