Kawasaki Station Luggage Storage and Lockers: JR and Keikyu
Share
Walk into Kawasaki Station with the bag you need for the next part of Japan. Silk Crane’s monthly and annual storage lets you send the extra suitcase from your hotel front desk or a convenience store and arrange its delivery to a later stay. Keeping that case out of the station makes room for a simpler connection. Shipping is charged separately.
JR East lists coin lockers at Kawasaki Station for bags you need back locally. Nearby Keikyu Kawasaki has its own lockers, and Lazona lists another option outside JR’s station facilities. These are separate places: decide which one fits your return railway before paying.
A smaller bag for the next train
Picture leaving your Kawasaki hotel after several days of shopping around Tokyo and Yokohama. The large case is mostly things for later, so you arrange to send it to Silk Crane from the hotel. Your backpack carries the coming days’ essentials.
Head for your chosen railway with less to wheel through the concourse. There is no collection detour for the stored suitcase before boarding. Arrange delivery to a later hotel ahead of time, allowing for shipping.

After signing up with Silk Crane, follow your supplied sending instructions. If you are already out with the packed suitcase, you can send it from a convenience store before continuing your Kawasaki connection.
Start with the correct Kawasaki station
JR Kawasaki and Keikyu Kawasaki are distinct. Use the station name shown in your route, and note the gate and floor near any locker. If sightseeing takes you toward one railway but departure uses the other, leave time for the walk between them.
JR’s facilities page confirms lockers, but does not establish every machine’s access hours or live availability. Check the bank itself for sizes, payment, daily charging boundaries and the maximum storage period. Ticket-office hours are not locker hours.
Keikyu lockers are inside the ticket gates
Keikyu’s July 2026 locker list lists three banks in the paid concourse at Keikyu Kawasaki. Sizes and payment choices differ between banks. Their listed access runs from the first to the last train; the separate 9:00–18:00 column is the enquiry service, not locker opening hours.
If you have already exited, check with staff about access before planning to use those lockers. Do not confuse them with Kawasaki-Daishi Station farther along the Daishi Line.
Lazona is another collection point to consider
The shopping center’s locker page lists coin lockers on the first floor beside the cloakroom. Check the facility’s current access arrangements and whether your case fits before leaving it. A shopping-center bank should not be assumed accessible throughout the railway’s operating day.
Use the Kawasaki city guide for a wider stay, or our Kawasaki Daishi guide for the temple outing. Choose local holding when the bag is needed today; send spare belongings when they can be delivered later.
Send the spare suitcase and plan its return
Book storage, follow the sending instructions and ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment. Keep your medicine, documents and the belongings you need during shipping with you. Confirm that your later hotel can receive the case, then plan your storage and delivery dates.
Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately, as explained in the storage and shipping cost guide. This is not an on-site walk-in counter or immediate bag collection service.
Questions before you go
Does JR Kawasaki Station have lockers?
Yes. JR East confirms coin lockers. Check signs and the actual bank for size, access and available compartments.
Where are Keikyu Kawasaki’s lockers?
The operator’s July 2026 list places its listed banks inside the ticket gates in the concourse. Check access if you are arriving from outside the paid area.
Are the lockers open only from nine to six?
That is the enquiry-hours column in Keikyu’s table. Its listed Keikyu Kawasaki locker access is first train to last train. Other facilities can have different hours.
Can I send luggage instead of collecting it at Kawasaki?
For belongings needed later, arrange shipment from your hotel to Silk Crane and later delivery. This is separate from same-day station holding.
