Kawasaki Daishi luggage storage: send your suitcase from the hotel and explore the temple approach with a small shoulder bag.

Kawasaki Daishi Luggage Storage: Temple and Nakamise Guide

Enjoy Kawasaki Daishi’s temple approach and sweet shops without a large suitcase beside you. With Silk Crane’s monthly and annual storage, send the extra case from your hotel front desk or a convenience store and walk through Nakamise with a smaller bag. Arrange delivery to a later hotel, leaving the day free of a collection trip for that suitcase. Shipping is charged separately.

For local holding today, Keikyu’s current locker list distinguishes two areas at Kawasaki-Daishi Station: small lockers in the concourse outside the gates, and small, medium and large lockers on the platform inside. Do not exit expecting a large locker outside. Confirm your bag fits and that a compartment is available.

A temple visit with time to browse

Imagine leaving your Kawasaki hotel with an afternoon free before continuing through Japan. The large case holds purchases and spare clothing for later. Send it from the hotel to Silk Crane, keeping the coming days’ essentials in a smaller bag.

Take the Daishi Line, walk toward the temple and pause at the Nakamise shops without towing the case. Continue to your next stop with the smaller bag and arrange delivery of the stored suitcase to a later hotel in advance.

Send your spare suitcase from the hotel and enjoy Kawasaki Daishi’s temple approach with less to carry.

After signing up with Silk Crane, follow your supplied sending instructions. If you are already out with the packed suitcase, you can send it from a convenience store before continuing your Kawasaki Daishi visit. Keep the clothes, documents and everyday essentials you need during shipping with you.

Use the Daishi Line for the temple

The temple’s official access guide directs rail visitors to change at Keikyu Kawasaki, alight at Kawasaki-Daishi and walk about eight minutes. JR Kawasaki is a different station; allow time to reach the Keikyu connection if you arrive by JR.

Our Kawasaki Station luggage guide helps if you prefer to leave today’s bag before taking the branch line. Plan where you will return afterward, rather than choosing a locker only because it is the first one you see.

Check the gate side before leaving a bag

Keikyu’s July 2026 table lists the outside small lockers as cash-operated. The inside platform bank lists cash and transport IC payment. Both list access from first to last train, with a separate enquiry-hours column. Read the actual machine’s current terms before paying.

Take a photo of the locker number and location. If a large case will not fit or the available spaces are full, ask staff about current options. The station list does not establish a temple cloakroom, and this guide does not promise one.

Leave time for Nakamise as well as the temple

The city tourism association’s Nakamise guide introduces the street in front of the main gate. Candy, kuzumochi and daruma give it a character of its own. Browse without blocking shop entrances, and leave room in your small bag for what you buy.

Check the temple’s current visiting information if you want to enter the main hall. For the rest of your stay, the Kawasaki city guide helps you plan beyond the temple neighborhood.

Send the spare suitcase and plan its return

Book storage, follow the sending instructions and ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment. Keep your medicine, documents and the belongings you need during shipping with you. Confirm that your later hotel can receive the case, then plan your storage and delivery dates.

Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately, as explained in the storage and shipping cost guide. This is not an on-site walk-in counter or immediate bag collection service.

Questions before you go

Can I find a large locker outside Kawasaki-Daishi’s gates?

The operator’s July 2026 list shows small lockers outside; medium and large sizes are listed inside on the platform. Check before exiting and do not assume a vacancy.

Is Kawasaki-Daishi Station the same as Keikyu Kawasaki?

No. Kawasaki-Daishi is a separate stop on the Daishi Line. The temple’s access guide gives about eight minutes’ walk from that station.

Does the temple guarantee luggage holding?

No temple cloakroom is established by these sources. Arrange suitable station or hotel holding before setting out with a large bag.

How does Silk Crane fit a temple day?

Send belongings you will need later from your hotel before the outing. Explore with a smaller bag and arrange delivery to a later hotel with time for shipping.
