Choose storage for your Kawasaki trip
An afternoon for trains and buses
Imagine fitting the Train and Bus Museum into a longer Japan trip between hotel stays. Your larger case holds spare clothes and purchases for later. Send it from your hotel to Silk Crane and pack the next few days’ belongings in a smaller bag.
Arrive at Miyazakidai ready to explore the exhibits without wheeling that case around the museum. Continue your route afterward and arrange delivery of the stored suitcase to a later hotel, allowing time for shipping.

Museum lockers are in building A
The Train and Bus Museum FAQ lists coin lockers on the first floor of building A for ¥100 per use. It does not describe that charge as refundable. Keep a coin ready and check the compartment before relying on it for a suitcase.
The FAQ does not establish an oversized-bag holding service. If a case will not fit, arrange holding with your hotel or a suitable station locker before coming. Use the museum floor guide to orient yourself, and keep tickets and daily essentials with you.
Check the opening day before taking the train to Miyazakidai
The official opening and access guide places the entrance opposite Miyazakidai Station’s ticket gates. The regular closing day is Thursday, with the following day closed when Thursday is a holiday. Check current notices for your intended date.
The museum allows re-entry, except while entry is restricted because of crowding. Ask about the current procedure before leaving, especially if your bag remains inside. If you use a locker at Mizonokuchi or Musashi-Mizonokuchi instead, include that return journey before your onward train.
Send the extra case and arrange its return
Book your storage plan and follow the sending instructions. Ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment, or use a convenience store that accepts it or a Yamato service center. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you.
Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately. Before sending, confirm that your later hotel can receive the case and plan your luggage delivery dates around Kawasaki. The storage and shipping cost guide explains the separate charges.
