Asakusa station luggage storage: send your suitcase from the hotel and continue to the railway with a small daypack.

Asakusa Station Luggage Storage: Choose the Right Railway

Leave Asakusa ready for the next part of Japan. Send the larger suitcase from your hotel front desk or a convenience store to Silk Crane for monthly or annual storage and arrange delivery when you need it again. Keep a smaller bag for the onward train; shipping is charged separately.

Choose storage for your Tokyo trip

An Asakusa stay followed by Nikko

Picture several Tokyo nights based in Asakusa before Nikko and more stops beyond the city. You sign up with Silk Crane and use the supplied sending instructions to send your spare suitcase from the hotel front desk. Keep the clothes and essentials needed during shipping in your smaller bag, and arrange delivery to your final Tokyo hotel.

Already out after checkout with the packed suitcase? You can send from a convenience store after signing up, then continue toward your railway with less to carry. If another bag is waiting in a locker, collect it from the saved operator and exit before boarding.

A convenience-store stop, then a lighter day

Already out with a suitcase you will not need for the next part of the trip? Picture sending it from a convenience store, then carrying on with a small bag. Sign up for Silk Crane, follow the supplied sending instructions, keep your essentials during shipping and arrange delivery to a later hotel in Japan.

Use the locker guide for your actual railway

The Tobu Asakusa station guide lists coin lockers, while Tokyo Metro’s Asakusa facilities page lists lockers around the Ginza Line. Locate a bank using the current map and signs, then check the compartment, payment method and collection access.

For the Toei Asakusa Line, use Toei’s Asakusa station information to identify the approach for your train. A locker described for Tobu or the Ginza Line is not automatically inside the Toei station area.

Do not confuse Tsukuba Express with the river-side stations

The Tsukuba Express Asakusa station guide places its station in Nishi-Asakusa and gives its own A1 and A2 exits. It is separate from the Tobu, Ginza Line and Toei approaches nearer the Sumida River. Save the full operator and station area, not just the word Asakusa.

Include the return walk to your actual locker before the next train. For Sensoji, Nakamise and the river walk, the separate Asakusa visitor guide covers the day out rather than the railway connection.

Send the extra case and arrange its return

Sign up for your storage plan and use the supplied sending instructions to send from your hotel front desk or a convenience store. If you are already out with your packed suitcase, you can use a convenience store without returning to the hotel. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you.

Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately. Before sending, confirm that your later hotel can receive the case and plan your luggage delivery dates around Tokyo. The storage and shipping cost guide explains the separate charges.

Questions before you go

Which Asakusa station has lockers?

Tobu and Tokyo Metro publish locker facilities in their respective station guides. Check the bank within the railway area you will use; availability and compartment sizes vary.

Is Tsukuba Express Asakusa beside the Tobu terminal?

It is a separate station in Nishi-Asakusa. Use the TX station map rather than following signs for another railway’s Asakusa entrance.

Can I leave a bag at one railway and collect at another?

Ordinary locker storage requires returning to the same bank. Plan the walk between station areas if your onward train uses a different railway.

Can I send Asakusa souvenirs to Silk Crane?

Pack durable purchases safely and send them using your storage instructions. Keep fragile items protected and arrange later delivery around the hotel that can receive them.
