Choose storage for your Sakai trip
A Koya Line arrival without the spare suitcase
Picture leaving your Osaka hotel for a few days around Sakai and southern Kansai. Your second suitcase holds shopping and clothing for the final city stay. Send it to Silk Crane, keeping the coming days’ clothes and essentials in a small bag.
At Sakaihigashi, you can head out for lunch before continuing the visit. The stored case does not need a separate return to the station. Arrange its delivery to the later hotel in advance, allowing time for shipping.

Use the station plan, then check the current locker bank
Nankai’s Sakaihigashi station guide links a layout showing coin-locker symbols around the west-side concourse and the northern connection. The drawing is dated March 2016, and Nankai warns that alterations may differ from the drawing. Use it for orientation, then follow current locker signs. The west gate has station staff; other listed gates use intercom assistance.
For a case needed again today, check the actual compartment before paying. Allow for wheels, handles and outside pockets, and read the collection access and charging rules. Save the bank location and locker number. A station drawing does not show live availability.
Sakaihigashi is the Koya Line station
Sakaihigashi is Nankai’s Koya Line stop. Nankai Sakai Station is on the Main Line; JR Sakaishi is another station again. Tourist-office baggage holding at Sakai Station does not establish the same service at Sakaihigashi.
Choose storage around where your day ends. For tea and exhibitions, our Risho no Mori guide explains the Shukuin approach. If you leave a bag at Sakaihigashi and finish sightseeing elsewhere, allow for the journey back before your train.
Send the extra case and arrange its return
Book your storage plan and follow the sending instructions. Ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment, or use a convenience store that accepts it or a Yamato service center. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you.
Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately. Before sending, confirm that your later hotel can receive the case and plan your luggage delivery dates around Sakai. The storage and shipping cost guide explains the separate charges.
Questions before you go
Are Sakai and Sakaihigashi the same station?
No. Sakai is on Nankai’s Main Line and Sakaihigashi is on its Koya Line. JR Sakaishi is separate too.
Can I rely on the old station plan for locker availability?
No. Use the plan for orientation and check current signs, compartment fit and collection access at the bank.
Is Sakai Station’s tourist-office holding available here?
The published service belongs to Nankai Sakai Station. Do not treat it as a Sakaihigashi counter.
Can Silk Crane keep my spare case out of the next few stops?
Yes. Send it from your hotel for storage and later delivery, keeping essentials with you during shipping.
