Hakuba Station Luggage Storage: Lockers and Resort Connections
Share
Step off the train at Hakuba with the bag you need for the mountain stay. Silk Crane lets the extra suitcase skip this part of Japan: send it from your hotel front desk or a convenience store, keep your travel essentials and arrange delivery to a later hotel. The onward resort connection is simpler with less to carry.
Monthly and annual storage is available, with shipping charged separately.
A smaller bag for the station-to-hotel journey
Imagine reaching Hakuba by train after several days in Tokyo. You signed up for Silk Crane before leaving the city and sent the shopping suitcase from your hotel with the supplied instructions. At Hakuba Station, you have only the belongings needed for the mountain stay and shipping period. Your hotel transfer has fewer bags to accommodate, and the stored case can be delivered to a later hotel when you request it.

Set aside the belongings you will need later
Choose your Silk Crane storage plan and follow the sending instructions supplied with your account. Send the belongings you can set aside from your hotel front desk or a convenience store. Keep documents, medicine and enough clothing for the next stay and shipping period.
Arrange delivery to the hotel where you will need the stored belongings again, and let the property know they are coming. Shipping is charged separately from monthly or annual storage. For a bag needed again today, use the local holding options below.
Where are the Hakuba Station lockers?
JR East’s Hakuba Station information lists coin lockers. The Nagano tourism station guide places the lockers outside the ticket gate to the right.
Check the actual compartment before paying, allowing for the suitcase’s wheels and handles. Read the current charge, access hours and collection rules at the locker. Published dimensions and a station listing do not guarantee an empty space for your particular bag. Photograph the location and keep the access receipt.
Hakuba Station is not Happo Bus Terminal
JR Hakuba Station serves the railway arrival. Happo Bus Terminal is a different stop closer to the Happo area. A booking for one should not be treated as a booking for the other, and not every seasonal bus serves both.
Use the Alpico Nagano–Hakuba route information for the operator’s current seasonal arrangements. Check your exact date, stop and reservation requirements. Our Happo terminal guide covers bags left there, while the Nagano Station guide covers the Shinkansen gateway.
Choose holding around your departure as well as arrival
If you arrive by train but leave Hakuba directly from Happo or your hotel, a case left at the railway station creates a return journey. Ask your accommodation about holding before check-in or after checkout when that better fits the route.
For equipment needed on the mountain, arrange a vehicle that can carry it and use the resort’s own day facilities. A suitcase locker should not be assumed to fit a ski or snowboard bag. For equipment you can set aside between uses, our Hakuba equipment-storage guide explains the longer-term plan.
Already out with a suitcase?
Picture a final morning in Hakuba before a lighter journey through Japan. After signing up, send the packed spare suitcase from a convenience store using your account instructions. Keep the bag needed for the next nights and shipping period. You can continue to your actual departure stop, with later delivery arranged for the stored suitcase, instead of planning a station-locker collection trip.

Plan the next delivery with the next stay
Choose the return date when planning the next part of the holiday. The storage and delivery timing guide explains how to leave time for the shipment. The shipping-cost guide keeps movement charges separate from the storage plan.
Questions before you go
Does Hakuba Station have luggage lockers?
Yes. JR East lists coin lockers. Check the compartment, available space and posted collection conditions when you arrive.
Can I leave luggage at the station and collect it at Happo?
A station locker keeps your luggage at the station. Arrange collection there or choose a different holding point before you leave the bag.
Can a ski bag go into an ordinary station locker?
Do not assume it will fit. Check the packed dimensions and use a suitable resort, hotel or equipment-storage arrangement.
