Aomori Station Luggage Storage: Lockers and a Lighter Waterfront Stop
Share
Make the walk from Aomori Station to the waterfront easier with fewer bags.
With Silk Crane, send the spare suitcase from your hotel into monthly or annual storage and arrange delivery when you need it again. Keep the belongings for your Aomori arrival in a smaller bag, leaving shopping or later-trip clothing out of the day’s journey. Shipping is charged separately. Choose your storage plan.
From the hotel to the station with one small bag
Imagine checking out before a train journey along northern Honshu. The extra suitcase holds shopping and clothes for later stops. Arrange shipment from the hotel to Silk Crane, with delivery booked ahead for when those belongings become useful again.
You reach Aomori Station with a compact daypack rather than two cases. There is more room to manage tickets, pause for a snack and take a short waterfront walk if your train plans allow.

Find the waiting-room lockers
The JR East travel team’s station guide places lockers inside the second-floor waiting room, near its automatic entrance doors. Its July 2026 update notes limited extra-large compartments. JR East’s facilities page also lists the station’s lockers.
Before closing the door, read the payment, charging-period and reopening instructions. Save the locker number and a photo of the nearby waiting-room sign. Leave enough time to find the same bank again, especially if you first arrived through a different entrance.
Compare the station-building alternatives
The same JR guide identifies additional lockers around LOVINA and &LOVINA. Indoor lockers and outdoor banks have different collection access; check the specific location rather than treating all station-area lockers as one service.
A free compartment is useful only if you can retrieve the bag when you need it. If the train leaves after an indoor area closes, choose another arrangement before sightseeing. Ask station or building staff where to look for a larger compartment, without assuming they can keep an oversized case behind a counter.
Collect first, then make the connection
For a short city outing, our waterfront and Wa Rasse guide keeps the sightseeing plan separate from the station instructions. Set a return time that includes walking back, opening the locker and reaching the platform.
If your onward reservation starts at Shin-Aomori, you still need the journey to that separate station after collection. Read the Shin-Aomori luggage guide and check the current connection. For a longer stay, the Aomori city guide helps choose around the whole itinerary.
Send the spare suitcase and plan its return
Book storage, follow the sending instructions and ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment. Keep medicine, documents and the belongings you need during shipping with you. Confirm that your later hotel can receive the case, then plan your storage and delivery dates.
Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately; the storage and shipping cost guide explains the distinction. Arrange delivery in advance rather than expecting immediate collection at the station or attraction.
