Aomori Luggage Storage: Enjoy the Bay and City with Less to Carry
Share
Give Aomori’s bay views, food stops and train journeys a little more breathing room.
With Silk Crane, send the spare suitcase from your hotel into monthly or annual storage and arrange delivery when you need it again. Keep the belongings for Aomori in a smaller bag, leaving shopping or later-trip clothing out of the day’s journey. Shipping is charged separately. Choose your storage plan.
A quieter afternoon by the bay
Picture arriving in Aomori after a shopping-filled stay in Tokyo. You have clothes and purchases for later in Japan that need not come along every time you stop for lunch. Before leaving the hotel, arrange shipment of the extra suitcase to Silk Crane and keep your next few days’ belongings with you.
With delivery planned for a later hotel, a bayfront stroll becomes simpler: a camera, a light layer and a small bag, without the spare case following you through the day.

Choose local holding for belongings you need tonight
JR East’s Aomori Station facilities lists coin lockers. A locker can suit a short outing when you will return to the same station; hotel holding may fit better if the evening ends at your accommodation. Ask the hotel about its own arrangements rather than assuming all properties store bags after checkout.
Decide where the bag needs to be at the end of the day before paying for a locker. Check the compartment size, charging period and collection access, and keep the key or opening code safe. A station facility listing does not reserve a space for your case.
Keep Aomori and Shin-Aomori separate in your plan
These are different stations. For arrival and collection in the city center, use our Aomori Station luggage guide. For a bullet-train connection, use the Shin-Aomori Station guide.
A case left at the first station you pass may create an unnecessary return journey. Look at your hotel, the final sightseeing stop and the onward train together. If you plan to send belongings into storage, arrange that from the hotel before heading out instead of building the day around a station drop-off.
Make room for the waterfront
The official Wa Rasse visitor guide introduces the museum close to the bay. Our waterfront and Wa Rasse story looks at the visit itself, including what to settle before going inside.
Choose a relaxed order for the museum, an outdoor walk and a meal. Keep a layer for the waterfront in your day bag, and allow time to return to any local holding point. Museum and shop opening times do not determine when your locker or hotel will release the suitcase.
Send the spare suitcase and plan its return
Book storage, follow the sending instructions and ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment. Keep medicine, documents and the belongings you need during shipping with you. Confirm that your later hotel can receive the case, then plan your storage and delivery dates.
Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately; the storage and shipping cost guide explains the distinction. Arrange delivery in advance rather than expecting immediate collection at the station or attraction.
Questions before you go
Can I store luggage at Aomori Station?
JR East lists coin lockers. Check the actual locker’s size, payment instructions and access before relying on it for your outing.
Is Shin-Aomori another name for Aomori Station?
No. They are separate stations, and a bag left at one must be collected there. Check which station your onward train uses.
Is Silk Crane a walk-in storage counter in Aomori?
Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for storage and later delivery. Arrange sending from your hotel and keep what you need during the shipping period.
Should I send everything into storage?
Keep documents, medicine and the clothes you need during the next part of the trip with you. Send belongings you will not need until the planned delivery.
