Take in Niigata’s river and harbor with the spare suitcase out of the visit. Silk Crane stores extra belongings sent from your hotel and arranges delivery to a later stop. Choose monthly or annual storage and bring a smaller bag to the waterfront; shipping is charged separately.
Choose storage for your Niigata trip
A river view between longer journeys
Picture a Niigata stay after several cities in Japan. The second suitcase holds clothing and purchases for your final hotel, so you send it from your current hotel to Silk Crane. Keep the next few days’ essentials in a smaller bag.
At the waterfront observation floor, you can pause by the windows and follow the river toward the sea without wheeling the extra case through the visit. Arrange delivery to the later hotel ahead of time, allowing for shipping before you need the stored belongings.

Match convention-center lockers to your visit
The Toki Messe visitor-services guide lists lockers in first-floor Entrance Hall 2 and the second-floor Esplanade. Its published access windows are 8 a.m.–8 p.m. and 5 a.m.–10 p.m. respectively. The service is described for convention-center users; an observation-deck outing alone should not be assumed to include it.
Check which bank you can use before bringing a large case. The directory’s ordinary “large” compartment is only 37 cm high; its separate tall suitcase size is on the second floor. Read actual dimensions and terms rather than relying on the size name. For an event, check the organizer’s bag rules as well.
Keep the viewpoint schedule separate from luggage access
Befco’s 31st-floor observation deck has its own official visiting guide. Check the current opening and any restricted access for your date. Being able to visit the viewpoint later in the evening does not let you retrieve a case from a locker bank that has already closed.
If you only want the view, agreed holding at your own hotel or the Niigata Station storage options may make the day easier. Do not assume a hotel in the complex stores luggage for non-guests. For a market stop nearby, use the separate Pier Bandai luggage guide.
Send the extra case and arrange its return
Book your storage plan and follow the sending instructions. Ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment, or use a convenience store that accepts it or a Yamato service center. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you.
Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately. Before sending, confirm that your later hotel can receive the case and plan your luggage delivery dates around Niigata. The storage and shipping cost guide explains the separate charges.
Questions before you go
Are all Toki Messe lockers available until the same time?
No. The operator lists different first- and second-floor access windows. Check the bank you actually use.
Can every observation-deck visitor use convention-center lockers?
The published service is for convention-center users. Confirm that your visit permits access before relying on it.
Does a locker called large necessarily fit a suitcase?
No. Check its dimensions. The operator distinguishes ordinary large compartments from taller suitcase-size lockers.
Can Silk Crane remove the need for same-day collection?
For spare belongings needed later, send them from your hotel into storage and arrange delivery to a later stop, allowing time for shipping.
