Shimbashi luggage storage: send your suitcase from the hotel and enjoy a waterfront train ride.

5 Shimbashi & Shiodome Luggage Storage Options Compared

Make room for a waterfront train ride and an evening around Shimbashi. With Silk Crane, send extra luggage from your hotel front desk or a convenience store and arrange delivery to a later stop, so the next leg needs only a smaller bag.

Monthly and annual storage are available; shipping is charged separately. If you need the suitcase back today, compare JR, Ginza Line and Yurikamome lockers. Guests staying at The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Tokyo Shiodome have a fourth local choice at their own hotel.

A waterfront outing before the next part of Japan

Shimbashi luggage storage: send your suitcase from the hotel and enjoy a waterfront train ride.
Send the spare suitcase and enjoy the waterfront journey with a small bag.

Picture leaving a Shiodome hotel for a waterfront outing, then continuing to another part of Japan the following morning. Your spare suitcase holds things you want for the final Tokyo days, rather than the smaller inns ahead.

Sign up for Silk Crane, use the supplied sending instructions and send it from your hotel front desk or a convenience store. Keep what you need during shipping in a smaller bag. You can enjoy the Yurikamome ride and return for dinner without collecting that extra case from the station. Arrange delivery to a later hotel with time to receive it before flying home.

A convenience-store stop, then a lighter day

Already out with a suitcase you will not need for the next part of the trip? Picture sending it from a convenience store, then carrying on with a small bag. Sign up for Silk Crane, follow the supplied sending instructions, keep your essentials during shipping and arrange delivery to a later hotel in Japan.

An ordinary suitcase at 7-Eleven

Shimbashi luggage storage: hand over your suitcase at a 7-Eleven and continue towards the railway with a small bag.
Already out after checkout? Send from a convenience store and continue with your smaller bag.

1. Silk Crane: send the bag and arrange later delivery

Choose Silk Crane when the extra suitcase can skip part of your trip. Send from your hotel front desk or a convenience store, keep a smaller bag and arrange delivery when you need the stored belongings again. There is no trip to a Silk Crane storage location and no return journey to collect from the same locker.

Cost: a monthly or annual plan, plus separate shipping. Compare the current storage plans together with sending and return-delivery costs. Silk Crane has no walk-in counter at Shimbashi & Shiodome and does not provide immediate retrieval or same-day local holding.

Sign up before sending and use the supplied address and instructions. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you. The hotel and airport delivery guide explains how to plan the bag’s return. If the suitcase simply needs to reach your next hotel soon, direct forwarding may be the simpler arrangement.

2. JR Karasumori Multi-e-cube: outside the ticket gates

The Shimbashi Karasumori Multi-e-cube listing places the bank outside the gates near the South Gate and Karasumori Exit. Storage is ¥300 SS, ¥500 small, ¥600 medium or ¥800 large; an online reservation adds ¥500.

Access is listed from the first to last train. This can suit a JR journey or an outing on the Karasumori side without requiring a paid-area collection. It is still a particular bank to return to, so allow time before your onward train.

3. Ginza Line lockers: keep collection near Exit 3

The Metro Shimbashi locker map lists a bank near Exit 3, with small ¥500, medium ¥600 and large ¥900 compartments.

Choose this around a Ginza Line itinerary, recording the bank and access route before leaving. If your day ends on the waterfront and you plan to board JR afterward, include the walk back to this Metro location. Read the bank’s collection hours rather than relying on nearby shops’ hours.

4. Yurikamome lockers: plan around the waterfront train

The Yurikamome Shimbashi station guide lists coin lockers and links to the station facilities and locker-availability information. Use that map to locate the bank, then read the current size, price and collection conditions at the machine.

This choice can fit a return journey on Yurikamome. Decide whether you will actually return to Shimbashi: finishing the outing at Toyosu would otherwise leave your suitcase at the other end of the line.

5. The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Tokyo Shiodome: for its guests

The hotel’s official luggage FAQ says guests can leave belongings before check-in or after checkout, on the same day. Ask reception about the handoff, collection arrangements and any charge.

Walking route to The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Tokyo Shiodome — about 190 m / 3 min from the Shimbashi Station map reference point. The hotel is at 1-6-3 Higashi-Shimbashi; allow additional time to reach reception.

This is a useful choice if you are staying there, not a public baggage counter for anyone passing through. If your itinerary continues elsewhere and you need the extra luggage much later, compare sending it into storage instead.

Two nearby places to send your suitcase

Your hotel front desk may save a walk altogether. Already out with the suitcase? Yamato’s directory lists these nearby places as accepting shipments. They are sending points, not Silk Crane storage branches.

Yamato store listing

The directory lists both stores as open 24 hours. Carrier collection has separate cutoffs, and these stores do not accept Size 180 or 200 parcels. For larger luggage, use a Yamato service center and follow your sending instructions.

Walking estimates were checked on October 5, 2026, from the named starting point beside each link. They exclude platforms, indoor navigation, queues and the shipping handoff. The routes are useful examples, not a claim that these are the nearest stores. Allow extra time with luggage.

Questions before choosing

Are Shimbashi and Shiodome one collection point?

No. The area connects several railway facilities, hotels and underground routes. Save the exact bank, floor and gate landmark. Include the collection walk before an onward connection.

Can I use the hotel option without staying there?

The cited luggage policy is for hotel guests. Do not plan on it as a public walk-in service. The railway lockers are the local choices to compare for a general day visit.
