Kurashiki Station Luggage Storage and Lockers: Walk into Town Lighter
Share
Step off the train in Kurashiki ready for the canal streets, with a compact bag for the day. Silk Crane lets you send shopping and spare clothes from your hotel into monthly or annual storage, then arrange delivery when you need them again. The extra suitcase can stay out of this station arrival and the journeys that follow. Shipping is charged separately.
A lighter walk from the station
Imagine taking a few days around Okayama and Kurashiki between longer hotel stays. Your second suitcase contains purchases you will not need until the final city. Arrange shipping from your hotel to Silk Crane and keep a compact backpack for the coming days.
On arrival in Kurashiki, you can head toward the old streets without rolling that case along with you. Arrange its delivery to the later hotel in advance, then choose your lunch and sightseeing around the visit rather than a luggage collection trip.

Keep today’s suitcase near the return train
JR West Chugoku Maintec’s locker listing locates the bank on the second-floor north side of Kurashiki Station, with 24-hour access, cash payment and a change machine. Check the available compartment and displayed charge before leaving your bag.
JR West’s Kurashiki Station page provides the station reference. Save the bank’s location and key details before setting off; your walk into the Bikan Quarter heads south, so allow for the return across the station area.
Know which tourist information center holds your bag
Kurashiki Station-front Tourist Information Center is on the second floor of the West Building at the south exit. Its lockers operate 09:00–17:00 for same-day use, although the information center normally closes at 18:00.
Kurashiki’s official tourism notice also lists ¥500-per-item holding when lockers cannot be used, including when they are full. Ask the desk about space and the collection deadline for that service; the locker hours do not establish the counter’s deadline. This station-front office is separate from Kurashikikan beside the canal.
Keep the south-side walk and train departure together
The Bikan Quarter luggage guide follows the sightseeing part of the journey. Before leaving the station, decide when you need to turn back for collection and how much time remains for the train.
If your suitcase is already in Okayama, keep that return journey in the plan. Our Okayama Station guide helps with that alternative. Kurashiki Station and Shin-Kurashiki are different stations; check the name on your itinerary rather than treating them as two exits of one building.
Send the spare suitcase and plan its return
Book storage, follow the sending instructions and ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment. Keep medicine, documents and the belongings you need during shipping with you. Confirm that your later hotel can receive the case, then plan your storage and delivery dates.
Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately; the storage and shipping cost guide explains the distinction. Arrange delivery in advance rather than expecting immediate collection at the station or attraction.
