Kintetsu Nara Station Luggage Storage and Lockers
Share
Step into central Nara with room for a relaxed day. With Silk Crane’s monthly and annual storage, send extra luggage from your hotel and arrange delivery to a later stop. Keep the bag you need now and leave the spare suitcase out of your station and sightseeing plans. Shipping is charged separately.
From the hotel to central Nara with a day bag
Imagine a Nara outing between longer stays elsewhere in Japan. Send the suitcase holding later-trip clothes and purchases from your hotel to Silk Crane before this leg. Keep what you need for the next few days with you.
At Kintetsu Nara, your small bag leaves you free to continue into the city streets and park area. Arrange delivery of the stored case to a later hotel rather than carrying it through every station and lunch stop.

What lockers are listed at Kintetsu Nara?
Kintetsu’s official locker guide lists small, medium, large and extra-large compartments at Kintetsu Nara. Use the station-specific row: facilities and smart-locker services described elsewhere on the page do not automatically apply here.
Measure a bulky suitcase including its wheels and handle, then check the chosen compartment. Published locker numbers are not live availability. Follow the payment and collection instructions displayed on the unit, and keep the receipt or opening code until the bag is back with you.
Check the entrance as well as the station name
Use the Kintetsu Nara station map to orient yourself in this underground station. If a suitcase stays with you, choose the lift route rather than assuming the nearest stairs are the easiest exit.
JR Nara is a different station. Our JR Nara Station guide covers that journey. The Nara Park guide covers what happens after leaving the station.
Keep a collection stop from changing your evening
Before paying for a locker, check where your day will end. Returning to Kintetsu Nara for the case works when it fits your route; an onward departure from JR Nara needs a deliberate detour.
Silk Crane is useful when the case holds things you will not need during this stage. Sending it from the hotel ahead of time removes that local collection stop. Our Nara city guide helps put the choices into the full itinerary.
Send the spare suitcase and plan its return
Book storage, follow the sending instructions and ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment. Keep medicine, documents and the belongings you need during shipping with you. Confirm that your later hotel can receive the case, then plan your storage and delivery dates.
Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately; the storage and shipping cost guide explains the distinction. Arrange delivery in advance rather than expecting immediate collection at the station or attraction.
Questions before you go
Does Kintetsu Nara have large lockers?
Kintetsu lists large and extra-large categories, alongside smaller lockers. Check the actual compartment dimensions and availability before relying on one.
Are JR Nara and Kintetsu Nara connected inside one station?
No. They are separate stations, so match your storage and collection plan to your route.
Does every smart-locker delivery service on Kintetsu’s website apply here?
Do not assume so. Check the station-specific facilities and the instructions on the locker you intend to use.
Can Silk Crane hold belongings while I visit several cities?
Yes. Ship them into storage and arrange later delivery, keeping immediate essentials with you. Shipping is charged separately from storage.
