Choose storage for your Atami trip
A smaller bag for the shrine steps
Imagine setting aside a morning for Izusan Shrine during a coastal stay. Send the second suitcase of purchases and later-trip clothes from your hotel to Silk Crane and keep daily essentials close.
You can take the steps at your own pace without lifting a heavy case. Arrange the stored belongings’ delivery to your later hotel and allow shipping time around the next part of the trip.

Arrange the bag before the hillside visit
The official Izusan Shrine visitor guide does not confirm a general luggage-holding counter. Make a plan before travelling uphill, using an agreed hotel arrangement or a suitable station facility.
The Atami Station storage guide separates lockers and counters. Pick a collection deadline that leaves room for the return bus and your onward journey.
The bus does not remove every step
The visitor guide lists a bus from Atami to Izusan Jinja-mae. From the road by that stop, around two hundred steps remain to the main shrine. The much larger step count sometimes quoted starts down by the coast, not at the bus stop.
The upper Hongu sanctuary is a separate mountain route beyond the main shrine area. Decide which visit you intend, check conditions and carry appropriate footwear and water. Do not treat the upper walk as a short extension while a suitcase waits near closing time.
Send the extra case and arrange its return
Book your storage plan and follow the sending instructions. Ask your hotel front desk to help arrange the shipment, or use a convenience store that accepts it or a Yamato service center. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you.
Silk Crane receives shipped belongings for monthly or annual storage and later delivery. Shipping is charged separately. Before sending, confirm that your later hotel can receive the case and plan your luggage delivery dates around Atami. The storage and shipping cost guide explains the separate charges.
Questions before you go
Are there confirmed shrine lockers?
No general holding service was confirmed in the checked visitor information. Settle the bag before going uphill.
Does the bus stop at the top of all the steps?
No. The official guide gives about two hundred steps from the bus-stop road to the main shrine.
Is the upper sanctuary the same visit?
It is a separate mountain walk beyond the main shrine. Allow more time and check conditions if you intend to continue.
How does Silk Crane fit this trip?
Send belongings into monthly or annual storage before this part of your trip, then arrange delivery to a later hotel. Shipping is charged separately and needs time. Use local holding for bags needed again today.
