A week with friends, a longer apartment stay or a different final address can fit naturally into the trip. Leave the suitcase with Silk Crane while you travel, then arrange delivery for the stay where you want it.
For a home or another special address, the key is a clear handover: the right recipient, a complete address and someone ready to receive the bag.
Send the spare suitcase from your hotel front desk or a convenience store using your Silk Crane instructions. Monthly and annual storage plans are available; shipping is charged separately.
The final week at a friend’s home
Imagine finishing a rail trip with a week at a friend’s home. The larger suitcase has stayed in storage while you travelled with a smaller bag.
Before that final stay, you share the address and agree who will receive the delivery. Your suitcase arrives for the settled-in part of the holiday, without an extra trip to a locker or storage desk.
At the start of the rail trip, sign up and follow the supplied instructions to send the suitcase from your hotel front desk or a convenience store. Keep clothing, documents and medication for the travel and shipping days, then arrange the later handover with your friend.

Tell us the full address, including the building and room number, and the name and contact details of the person receiving the luggage. Agree the receiving arrangements before dispatch.

A Yamato office: confirm the collection details
A Yamato office can be useful when you would rather collect the bag yourself. Confirm the intended office and collection arrangements with Silk Crane before the luggage leaves storage.
Do not use an office address as though it were an ordinary home delivery. The shipment needs the correct destination and receiving details.
Addresses with controlled access
For a military base or another address with entry restrictions, contact Silk Crane first. Access rules may affect where and how the courier can hand over the luggage.
Share the destination, recipient and any access or identification requirements so the delivery can be checked before it is arranged.
Keep the final details together
Confirm the recipient, address, contact number and receiving plan in one message. For several bags, make clear which pieces should go to that address.

What if nobody will be there?
Arrange the receiving plan before dispatch. Holiday rentals have separate receiving rules. Contact Silk Crane about that destination before arranging dispatch.
Can I request a different kind of address?
Tell Silk Crane where you would like the bag delivered. Yamato office collection and addresses with controlled access need their receiving arrangements confirmed first.
