A Kyoto apartment, a small hostel, a place with self-check-in: you can still use luggage storage and later delivery. The key is a simple handover plan. Be there yourself, ask your host to receive the bag, or arrange pickup at a Yamato sales office.

A slow Kyoto morning, then the suitcase arrives
Imagine arriving at a Kyoto apartment with a small bag after several days of travel. Your larger suitcase is in storage, and you have arranged its delivery for a morning when you can stay at the apartment.
There is time for breakfast and planning the next few days while you wait. You receive the suitcase at the door, unpack what you need, then head out. If you would rather spend that morning sightseeing, keep the bag in storage longer or plan a different handover instead.
Have it delivered while you are there
Share the complete address, building or room details, contact number and name for the delivery. Choose a delivery period when you can remain at the property; a requested period is a window, not an exact appointment.

Arriving later? Ask the host first
The suitcase can arrive before you only if the host or another person has agreed to receive it and will be there. A self-check-in code does not mean a property can accept parcels in your absence.

Choose a Yamato office if that works better
A Yamato sales office can be a useful pickup point when waiting at the property does not suit the day. Agree the office with Silk Crane in advance and check its opening hours, location and the route back with your luggage.
Check the tracking before visiting and bring the shipment details and identification Yamato requires. A rental car can make this practical for larger bags; choose the pickup point around the journey you can comfortably make.
Keep the bag stored until the useful moment
You do not have to fit the delivery into your first day. Leave the suitcase with Silk Crane while you use your smaller bag, then arrange it for a later stay that makes receiving easier.

Can my stored suitcase be delivered to an Airbnb?
Yes, with a receiving plan. Be present during the delivery period, have your host receive it, or arrange Yamato sales-office pickup with Silk Crane.
Can it arrive before I check in?
Only when someone at the property has agreed to receive it and will be there. Otherwise keep it in storage until you can receive it or choose another handover.
What if my hostel has reception?
Ask reception whether it can receive and hold your suitcase for the booking, and share any instructions with Silk Crane when arranging delivery.
