5 Hamamatsucho & Daimon Luggage Storage Options Compared
Share
Turn a Hamamatsucho stay into a lighter journey through Japan. With Silk Crane, send the extra suitcase from your hotel front desk or a convenience store, explore with a small bag and arrange delivery to a later stop.
Monthly and annual storage are available, with shipping charged separately. For luggage needed after today’s outing or on tonight’s Haneda flight, compare local holding. JR Hamamatsucho, Tokyo Monorail and Daimon use different gate areas, so the collection route deserves attention.

Zojoji today, smaller inns tomorrow

Picture a traveler who has spent a few nights near Hamamatsucho after arriving at Haneda. Tomorrow’s trip continues through smaller towns and inns, but today leaves time for Zojoji and a view of Tokyo Tower. He signs up for Silk Crane, follows the supplied sending instructions and sends his spare suitcase from a convenience store after checkout.
His documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping stay in a small travel bag. He arranges delivery of the stored case to his final Tokyo hotel. The afternoon walk can end wherever dinner looks appealing, without a separate return to retrieve that suitcase.
Send before checkout or while you are out
Picture setting aside the suitcase you will not need for the next part of the trip. Send it from your hotel front desk before checkout, or from a convenience store while you are out. Sign up for Silk Crane, use the supplied sending instructions and keep your essentials during shipping. Arrange delivery to your later hotel in Japan.

1. Silk Crane: send the bag and arrange later delivery
Choose Silk Crane when the extra suitcase can skip part of your trip. Send from your hotel front desk or a convenience store, keep a smaller bag and arrange delivery when you need the stored belongings again. There is no trip to a Silk Crane storage location and no return journey to collect from the same locker.
Cost: a monthly or annual plan, plus separate shipping. Compare the current storage plans together with sending and return-delivery costs. Silk Crane has no walk-in counter at Hamamatsucho & Daimon and does not provide immediate retrieval or same-day local holding.
Sign up before sending and use the supplied address and instructions. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you. The hotel and airport delivery guide explains how to plan the bag’s return. If the suitcase simply needs to reach your next hotel soon, direct forwarding may be the simpler arrangement.
2. JR Hamamatsucho lockers: choose around your JR route
JR East’s Hamamatsucho station information lists coin lockers and the station layout. Follow current signs to a bank that suits your return, then check its displayed rate, size and collection terms.
Save the bank number and gate side. If the next journey uses the Monorail, include the collection walk and the transfer to its separate gates. A station-level map marker does not include the time from your train platform.
3. Tokyo Monorail lockers: plan around the current layout
Tokyo Monorail publishes a dedicated Hamamatsucho locker location map. Compare it with the current Monorail station guide before choosing a bank.
The station is being rebuilt and access has changed during 2026. Follow current gate and elevator signs rather than an old travel-blog description. Check the actual locker’s price and hours, then leave enough time to retrieve the case before finding your airport train. These are local lockers, not Silk Crane collection points.
4. Daimon lockers: useful distinctions between floors
Toei’s Daimon locker directory identifies large compartments outside the gates on B1 near A6 and on B3 near the B4-side elevator and station office. The B1 bank toward A2 lists standard compartments; the inside-gate B3 bank lists medium and standard sizes.
Read the bank’s current charge and access rules. Choose this option when collection works with an Asakusa or Oedo Line journey, or your walking route around Daimon. If you later need the Monorail, retrieve the case at Daimon before making that separate connection.
5. LIBPORT Hamamatsucho: a reserved weekday handoff
The LIBPORT Hamamatsucho luggage booking page lists storage 09:00–17:00 Monday–Friday at 5F, 2-5-3 Hamamatsucho. Reserve through ecbo cloak and read the baggage quote for your dates.
Walking route to LIBPORT Hamamatsucho — about 450 m / 6 minutes from the Daimon intersection (1-27-12 Hamamatsucho). The operator describes it as a one-minute walk from JR’s South Exit; our linked route deliberately starts at the Daimon intersection. Include the lift to the fifth-floor desk.
The building’s or coworking space’s longer access hours do not extend the luggage service’s 17:00 collection deadline.
Two nearby places to send your suitcase
Your hotel front desk may save a walk altogether. Already out with the suitcase? Yamato’s directory lists these convenience stores as accepting shipments. They are sending points, not Silk Crane storage branches.
FamilyMart Hamamatsucho Station North Exit
1-29-6 Hamamatsucho, Central Building 1F
Walking directions to FamilyMart Hamamatsucho Station North Exit — about 150 m / 2 minutes from the Daimon intersection (1-27-12 Hamamatsucho).
FamilyMart Hamamatsucho Station South
2-9-3 Hamamatsucho
Walking directions to FamilyMart Hamamatsucho Station South — about 500 m / 7 minutes from the Daimon intersection (1-27-12 Hamamatsucho).
The directory lists both stores as open 24 hours. Carrier collection has separate cutoffs, and these stores do not accept Size 180 or 200 parcels. For larger luggage, use a Yamato service center and follow your sending instructions.
Walking estimates were checked on October 5, 2026, from the named starting point beside each link. They exclude platforms, indoor navigation, queues and the shipping handoff. The routes are useful examples, not a claim that these are the nearest stores. Allow extra time with luggage.
Questions before choosing
Is Daimon the same station as Hamamatsucho?
They are neighboring rail facilities with different operators and gates. Record the actual locker, floor and gate side; allow time to collect before walking to another railway.
Can a station locker send my suitcase to Haneda?
Do not assume an ordinary locker includes airport delivery. Silk Crane offers later delivery arranged around your itinerary, with shipping time and charges. For a bag needed on today’s flight, compare the local collection options above.
Keep the next part of Japan simple
