Ginza luggage storage: send your suitcase and packed shopping from the hotel, then enjoy an evening walk.

5 Ginza & Yurakucho Luggage Storage Options Compared

Give Ginza’s shops and restaurants your attention instead of a spare suitcase. With Silk Crane, send luggage and packed purchases from your hotel front desk or a convenience store, then arrange delivery to a later hotel.

Monthly and annual storage, with shipping charged separately, suits the bags you can leave out of the next part of Japan. For today’s luggage and shopping you want back tonight, compare GINZA SIX, Mitsukoshi and station lockers. Closing times matter as much as the starting price.

An evening in Ginza before the next Japan stop

Ginza luggage storage: send your suitcase and packed shopping from the hotel, then enjoy an evening walk.
Send the suitcase and packed purchases, then enjoy a Ginza evening with less to carry.

Imagine a couple enjoying a Tokyo stay before several nights elsewhere in Japan. Their spare suitcase and packed purchases are ready to send, while the next leg needs only smaller travel bags. They sign up for Silk Crane and use the supplied sending instructions to hand over the luggage at their hotel front desk.

They keep everything needed during shipping with them, then enjoy an evening around Ginza’s shop windows and restaurants. Later, they arrange delivery to the final Tokyo hotel with time to unpack and organize the flight home. A convenience store offers the same sending convenience when they are already out with a prepared suitcase.

A convenience-store stop, then a lighter day

Already out with a suitcase you will not need for the next part of the trip? Picture sending it from a convenience store, then carrying on with a small bag. Sign up for Silk Crane, follow the supplied sending instructions, keep your essentials during shipping and arrange delivery to a later hotel in Japan.

An ordinary suitcase at 7-Eleven

Ginza: send an ordinary suitcase from 7-Eleven and enjoy Ginza’s evening shops with small bags.

1. Silk Crane: send the bag and arrange later delivery

Choose Silk Crane when the extra suitcase can skip part of your trip. Send from your hotel front desk or a convenience store, keep a smaller bag and arrange delivery when you need the stored belongings again. There is no trip to a Silk Crane storage location and no return journey to collect from the same locker.

Cost: a monthly or annual plan, plus separate shipping. Compare the current storage plans together with sending and return-delivery costs. Silk Crane has no walk-in counter at Ginza & Yurakucho and does not provide immediate retrieval or same-day local holding.

Sign up before sending and use the supplied address and instructions. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you. The hotel and airport delivery guide explains how to plan the bag’s return. If the suitcase simply needs to reach your next hotel soon, direct forwarding may be the simpler arrangement.

2. Sagawa at GINZA SIX: an evening counter option

Sagawa’s GINZA SIX service center is at 1F TERMINAL GINZA, 6-10-1 Ginza, with hours 10:30–20:30. Daily charges per item are ¥800 up to 100 cm, ¥1,000 up to 160 cm and ¥1,500 from 161 cm, measured as combined length, width and height.

Walking route to GINZA SIX — about 260 m / 4 minutes from the Wako / Seiko House clock tower. The map reaches the building; follow signs to the ground-floor service center. It can suit a shopping day followed by early dinner, provided you leave time to collect before closing.

3. Ginza Mitsukoshi lockers: bring coins and choose the floor

Ginza Mitsukoshi’s locker guide lists ambient lockers on main-building B2F and annex 12F. Large compartments are on the annex’s 12th floor. Daily rates are ¥400 small, ¥600 medium and ¥800 large, paid using 100-yen coins.

The maximum stated period is three consecutive days, with a charge each day. Access follows the relevant floor’s business hours, so check the return window before dinner. Large compartments measure 36 cm wide × 57.5 cm deep × 84.3 cm high; include wheels and handles when measuring the suitcase.

This choice works best when the department store is already part of your outing. Use its floor guide for the indoor route; a street-level map pin will not locate the 12th-floor bank.

4. Ginza Station Metro lockers: choose the return line

Tokyo Metro’s Ginza locker directory links to the station’s locker locations. Choose a bank around the route you will return to, then check its price, size, gate side and collection hours.

Save the line and exit landmark along with the locker number. A dinner in one part of Ginza and a departure from another can turn a nearby-looking locker into an extra walk. Keep that return journey in the comparison rather than choosing by price alone.

5. Yurakucho Line lockers: useful at the other end of the outing

Tokyo Metro’s Yurakucho facilities listing identifies Yurakucho Line lockers and separately lists Tokyo Metlocker PLUS near exit D5. Ordinary locker holding and that service’s reservation or delivery functions have different terms; do not assume every bank offers both.

For ordinary local storage, check the selected bank’s displayed rate and return time. This can suit a day ending near Yurakucho’s shops or a Yurakucho Line train. It is a different station from Ginza, even where underground passages connect the area. Use the Yurakucho station and exit guide for the last part of your collection route.

Two nearby places to send your suitcase

Your hotel front desk may save a walk altogether. Already out with the suitcase? Yamato’s directory lists these convenience stores as accepting shipments. They are sending points, not Silk Crane storage branches.

7-Eleven Higashi-Ginza Station

5-13-3 Ginza

Walking directions to 7-Eleven Higashi-Ginza Station — about 350 m / 6 minutes from the Wako / Seiko House clock tower.

7-Eleven Yurakucho Station

2-8-2 Yurakucho, Joypack Building 2F

Walking directions to 7-Eleven Yurakucho Station — about 500 m / 7 minutes from the Wako / Seiko House clock tower.

Yamato store listing

The directory lists both stores as open 24 hours. Carrier collection has separate cutoffs, and these stores do not accept Size 180 or 200 parcels. For larger luggage, use a Yamato service center and follow your sending instructions.

Walking estimates were checked on October 5, 2026, from the named starting point beside each link. They exclude platforms, indoor navigation, queues and the shipping handoff. The routes are useful examples, not a claim that these are the nearest stores. Allow extra time with luggage.

Questions before choosing

Can I leave shopping until the end of my Japan trip?

Silk Crane can store packed purchases alongside the luggage you will need later. Follow the supplied sending instructions and arrange hotel delivery with time to repack. Keep fragile or valuable items you need to supervise with you.

What if dinner ends after the counter closes?

Choose a collection window that fits before depositing the bag. GINZA SIX’s listed counter closes at 20:30; Mitsukoshi access depends on the floor. Do not assume an ordinary station locker has round-the-clock access.

Keep the next part of Japan simple

Send the extra luggage from your hotel front desk or a convenience store and arrange delivery to a later stop. Choose monthly or annual storage; shipping is charged separately.
