Ritsurin Garden Luggage Storage: Entrances, Lockers and a Lighter Walk
Share
Make room for Ritsurin’s pond views and winding paths. Send the extra suitcase from your hotel to Silk Crane, enjoy the garden with a small bag and arrange delivery to a later hotel. Monthly and annual storage lets shopping and spare clothes skip this outing and the journeys that follow. Shipping is charged separately.
Picture a garden morning during a lighter journey
Imagine staying in Takamatsu before continuing around Shikoku. A suitcase holds purchases and clothes for a later part of the trip, while a small bag has what you need now. After signing up with Silk Crane, send the suitcase from your hotel using the instructions provided.
Enjoy Ritsurin’s paths and pond views without arranging the walk around a suitcase. Plan delivery to a later hotel ahead. If you need the bag tonight, ask your current hotel to hold it or choose a suitable local locker instead.

Choose your entrance before leaving a bag
The official Ritsurin access guide confirms lockers at both East and North Gates. Check the compartment you intend to use and keep its key or receipt with you.
A small bag makes it easier to choose the next path for its view rather than its width. If a suitcase stays at one gate, plan to return there before leaving the garden.
Check the holding window separately
The city’s luggage directory lists overflow holding at the North Gate Ticket Office and Tourist Office, 08:30–17:00, when lockers are full or the bag does not fit. Confirm space and the current charge at the office.
Seasonal garden hours can begin earlier and end later. For a dawn walk, arrange the suitcase before arrival instead of assuming the holding office will open with the gate.
Three station names, different approaches
The official access guide gives approximately three minutes on foot from JR Ritsurin Koen Kitaguchi, ten from Kotoden Ritsurin Koen and twenty from JR Ritsurin. Use the garden map to choose your gate as well as your train.
If today’s bag stays at your Takamatsu hotel or near the waterfront, allow for the return trip. The Takamatsu Station guide separates JR, Kotoden and port facilities.
Leave room for a slower circuit
Choose a few garden views rather than turning the visit into a race between entrances. Carry water and what you need for the weather, and keep your luggage collection time in the plan.
Use the Takamatsu city guide to choose another outing. Tamamo Park and Sunport, Yashima and Naoshima each deserve their own travel time.
Questions before your visit
Does Ritsurin have luggage lockers?
Yes, at the East and North Gates. Check fit and availability when you arrive.
Can I collect at the opposite gate?
Return to the locker or office where you left the bag; choose the end of your walk accordingly.
Is temporary holding open at dawn?
The city lists an 08:30 start for overflow holding. Garden opening hours are separate.
Send the extra suitcase and enjoy what comes next
Choose your Silk Crane storage plan, follow the sending instructions and ask your hotel front desk to help arrange shipment. Monthly and annual storage lets you keep shopping or spare clothes out of the next journeys and arrange delivery when you need them again. Shipping is charged separately.
Keep your documents, medicine and clothes for the coming days with you. Confirm that the later hotel can receive your suitcase and allow time for delivery. Sending before this part of the trip saves carrying the extra case between each local stop.
