Naruto Park and Whirlpools: Explore with Less Luggage
Share
Watch the Naruto Strait with less to carry. Send the spare suitcase from your hotel to Silk Crane, take a smaller bag to Naruto Park and arrange delivery when you need the suitcase again. Monthly and annual storage keeps shopping and extra clothes out of this outing and the journeys that follow. Shipping is charged separately.
Picture a strait-view day between city stays
Imagine leaving Tokushima for another few days of travel, with shopping and spare clothes packed in a second suitcase. Arrange shipment from your hotel to Silk Crane and keep the next stage’s essentials in your smaller travel bag.
Take a shoulder bag to Naruto Park, pause at the viewpoints and choose a walkway or boat visit around the day’s tide forecast. Arrange delivery of the stored suitcase to a later hotel in advance. The spare case no longer determines which pier or bus stop you can comfortably use.

Choose holding around the places you will actually visit
The Uzu-no-Michi and Eddy visitor FAQ lists free lockers for visitors, with collection by closing time. Naruto City’s official luggage guide also describes office holding for bags too large for the lockers. Ask the facility about your bag and planned collection before leaving it.
If you need a suitcase that evening in Tokushima, hotel holding or the Tokushima Station luggage guide can keep collection close to your return journey. A locker at an attraction requires you to come back to that attraction.
Choose the bridge walkway or the correct cruise pier
Uzu-no-Michi is the observation walkway beneath Onaruto Bridge. Eddy is a separate nearby visitor attraction, with a slope between the two. Use the official Naruto Park attraction information to choose the visit that suits your day.
For a cruise, Naruto Kanko Kisen’s Wonder Naruto and Aqua Eddy depart from Kameura Tourist Port. Its official cruise FAQ says Aqua Eddy requires a reservation, while Wonder Naruto does not. Check the service and boarding time before setting off.
Uzushio Kisen is a different operator at Kameura Fishing Port, behind the Otsuka Museum area; its nearest bus stop is Kameuraguchi. Use Uzushio Kisen’s own access information. The city lists reception holding there during the cruise, not an all-day park storage service.
Build the day around the tide and the journey home
Whirlpools depend on the tide; they are not continuously visible. Check your chosen operator’s forecast and current operating status for the day, and leave time for the walk or boarding before the viewing window. Weather and conditions can affect the experience.
The official Naruto Park access guide describes local buses from JR Tokushima and JR Naruto toward Naruto Koen. Naruto Koen, the Naruto Koenguchi highway stop, JR Naruto Station and Kosoku Naruto are different places. Match the stop to your actual ticket.
Do not assume an express-bus arrival stop in the park area is also your return boarding point. Check the reserved service’s instructions and leave time for any local transfer. If a bag is back in Tokushima, include that collection trip before an onward departure.
Give the art museum its own time
The Otsuka Museum of Art guide covers a separate, substantial indoor visit nearby. Choose how much you want to see rather than squeezing it between tide windows and bus departures. Museum lockers follow the museum visit’s arrangements.
Questions before your visit
Are there lockers at JR Naruto Station?
Naruto City’s luggage guide says there are no coin lockers around JR Naruto Station. It lists a nearby shop service requiring an advance reservation, and separate facilities elsewhere; do not confuse these with a station counter.
Can I collect my bag at a different cruise pier?
Plan to return to the actual locker or reception where you left it. The two cruise operators use different ports.
Are whirlpools visible all day?
No. Check the day’s tide forecast and operating status for your chosen walkway or cruise.
Does Silk Crane have a Naruto Park counter?
Silk Crane stores belongings sent in for later delivery. Send spare luggage from your hotel before this stage of the trip.
Send the extra suitcase and enjoy what comes next
Choose your Silk Crane storage plan, follow the sending instructions and ask your hotel front desk to help arrange shipment. Monthly and annual storage lets shopping and spare clothes skip the next journeys, with delivery arranged when you need them again. Shipping is charged separately.
Keep your documents, medicine and clothes for the coming days with you. Confirm that your later hotel can receive the suitcase and allow time for delivery. The extra case can stay out of the local sightseeing route.
