An afternoon in Senju before the next part of Japan

Sign up for Silk Crane, use the supplied sending instructions and send the spare suitcase from a convenience store. Keep the belongings needed during shipping and the onward trip with you. You can enjoy a neighborhood lunch and a walk before boarding your next train, then have the stored case delivered to the hotel for the last part of the visit.

Kita-Senju station lockers for a bag needed today

For a suitcase you need again this evening, start with Tokyo Metro’s Kita-Senju locker listing. It identifies the Chiyoda Line area and links to the locker operator. Use the accompanying station map to find that area from your arrival line.

The listing is a useful starting point, not a live count of empty compartments across the whole station. Check the actual bank for compartment dimensions, payment methods, the charging changeover and the maximum holding period. Measure the suitcase with wheels and handles included; a large suitcase needs more space than its main shell suggests.

Choose the collection route before leaving the suitcase

Before storing anything, work backward from the train you will take after collection. Note the railway, line, gate side, floor and nearest exit. A locker convenient for your arrival may create a detour when you leave on another railway.

Kita-Senju also serves the Tsukuba Express; its official Kita-Senju station guide is useful when that is your onward train. Do not assume a locker described under Tokyo Metro sits beside the Tsukuba Express gates. Photograph the bank number and nearby signs, and check the route back before heading outside.

If the next stop is Ueno, our Ueno station luggage guide explains another station area where the operator matters.

Let the extra luggage skip the stops where you will not need it

If the suitcase should miss several stops, returning to Kita-Senju to retrieve it may be an unnecessary part of the itinerary. Silk Crane stores belongings sent in for later delivery, so the receiving hotel can be somewhere else in Japan. This is monthly or annual storage, with shipping charged separately, rather than a station counter for immediate collection.

Choose the later hotel and receiving date before arranging the shipment back. Keep travel documents, medicine, valuables and the clothes needed along the way with you. The stored luggage delivery guide explains the next step.

Questions before you send or store your bag

Does Kita-Senju have coin lockers?

Yes. Tokyo Metro lists lockers in its Chiyoda Line area. Check the operator’s station information and the bank itself for current access and capacity.

Can I collect a locker bag at another station?

Ordinary locker storage requires returning to that locker. Later delivery from Silk Crane is a separate storage-and-shipping arrangement.

Is there a Silk Crane desk at Kita-Senju Station?

No. Send your suitcase from your hotel front desk or a convenience store using the supplied instructions, then arrange its later delivery.
