Kanazawa luggage storage: send your suitcase from a convenience store and explore Kenrokuen with a small bag.

5 Kanazawa Station Luggage Storage Options Compared

Give Kanazawa’s gardens and tea districts an unhurried place in your trip. With Silk Crane, send the spare suitcase from your hotel front desk or a convenience store and arrange delivery to a later stop.

Monthly and annual storage are available, with shipping charged separately. For bags you need after today’s visit, compare station lockers and counters. The fifth choice below is nearer Omicho Market, so it suits a different collection plan from leaving a case inside the station.

From checkout to Kenrokuen, with a smaller bag

Kanazawa luggage storage: send your suitcase from a convenience store and explore Kenrokuen with a small bag.
Send the spare suitcase and take your time beside Kenrokuen’s pond.

Picture checking out in Kanazawa before a garden visit and several nights elsewhere in Japan. The large suitcase holds purchases you will want at your final hotel, but not for the next few stops.

Sign up for Silk Crane, follow the supplied sending instructions and send the packed case from a convenience store. Keep documents, medicine and enough belongings for the shipping period with you. Enjoy Kenrokuen with a small bag, then continue the journey without doubling back for that suitcase. Arrange delivery to your later hotel ahead of time.

Send before checkout or while you are out

Picture setting aside the suitcase you will not need for the next part of the trip. Send it from your hotel front desk before checkout, or from a convenience store while you are out. Sign up for Silk Crane, use the supplied sending instructions and keep your essentials during shipping. Arrange delivery to your later hotel in Japan.

1. Silk Crane: send the bag and arrange later delivery

Choose Silk Crane when your extra luggage can skip part of the journey. Send from your hotel front desk or a convenience store, keep a smaller bag and arrange delivery when you want the stored belongings again. There is no trip to a Silk Crane storage location or return to the same locker.

Cost: a monthly or annual plan, plus separate shipping. Compare the current storage plans together with sending and return-delivery costs. Silk Crane has no walk-in counter at Kanazawa Station and does not provide immediate retrieval or same-day local holding.

Sign up before sending and follow the supplied instructions. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you. The hotel and airport delivery guide explains how to plan the return. If you simply need the suitcase at your next hotel soon, direct forwarding may be the simpler choice.

2. Station lockers: the bank letter matters

The Kanazawa locker map and local storage guide lists small, medium and large compartments at ¥400, ¥600 and ¥800 per day. Banks A–C have 24-hour access; D and F close at 22:00.

Photograph the bank letter as well as your compartment. If an evening meal runs late, the difference between an outdoor-access bank and one inside a shopping area becomes more useful than a small price difference.

3. Anto East counter: local holding for larger belongings

The station’s holding counter is by Anto’s East Entrance, open 09:30–19:00. The city’s counter information lists ¥600/day for locker-size belongings and ¥1,200/day for oversized items. No reservation is offered.

Use the location map before arriving; a shipping counter elsewhere in Anto is a different desk. Agree on the pickup time when handing over the bag and leave room for collection before your train or bus.

4. Tis Kanazawa: reserve a place inside Rinto

Book ecbo cloak at Tis Kanazawa for a reserved counter handoff inside Rinto. The tourism guide lists ¥1,000 per item per day, 10:00–17:00 opening, final pickup 16:30 and Thursday closure.

Check the available times for your date before paying. This is useful for an afternoon visit with an early return, but a reservation does not extend the collection deadline. Keep the booking confirmation available on your phone.

5. JTB Kanazawa: an alternative nearer Omicho Market

This ecbo cloak location is at 30 Shimotsutsumicho, KS Building. Walk from Kanazawa Station to JTB Kanazawa — about 17 minutes / 1.2 km from Kanazawa Station’s map reference point. It is a city-side alternative, not a desk inside the railway station.

The JTB Kanazawa ecbo cloak booking page is the place to check the available handoff times and final price. The city lists ¥500–¥800 by item, but its language editions disagree on the closing time. Use the date-specific reservation before setting off.

Choose this when you plan to collect around the market. If your final stop is the station, include the walk back with the suitcase rather than comparing only the storage charge.

A sending counter inside Kanazawa Station

Your hotel front desk or a convenience store can be the simplest place to send. If you are already at the station, Yamato Kanazawa Station Hyakubangai’s directory entry lists parcel dispatch at 1-1 Kinoshinbomachi, inside Kanazawa Hyakubangai, with counter hours 08:30–20:00 and same-day dispatch cutoff 18:15.

Use the station-area map to locate Yamato beside locker bank D in Anto. It is a sending point, not a Silk Crane branch or the Anto East holding counter. Sign up for Silk Crane first, then use the supplied sending details.

Questions before choosing

Can I collect Kanazawa luggage after dinner?

Banks A–C offer 24-hour access. Counter services close earlier, and banks D/F close at 22:00. Select the actual location around your expected return time.

Should I leave a suitcase here before traveling through Shirakawa-go?

Only if you plan to return to the same collection point within its terms. For a one-way journey onward through central Japan, send spare belongings into storage and arrange delivery later, keeping what you need during shipping.

Enjoy the next stop with less to carry

Send the extra luggage from your hotel front desk or a convenience store and arrange delivery to a later stop in Japan. Choose monthly or annual storage; shipping is charged separately.
