Picture a Sunshine City visit between your first Tokyo stay and a week traveling with a small bag. Or imagine that you have already checked out and are walking through Ikebukuro with the case. Sunshine City lockers for a bag you need today
For same-day collection, Sunshine City’s facilities guide lists lockers in the B1 underpass, alpa B1 and 1F Hirokoji, Bunka Kaikan 1F, 2F and 4F, and World Import Mart 4F. It also lists additional lockers on the aquarium floors.
General access is 8 am–10 pm. The Bunka Kaikan 1F bus-terminal location has a different window: 5 am–1 am the following morning. Check the chosen bank’s posted rules and leave time for collection.
The listed large size is 86.8 cm high, 35.5 cm wide and 64.5 cm deep; dimensions vary by location. Measure your case including handles and wheels. The facilities page links to availability information, but a listed bank does not guarantee a space when you arrive.
Arrange the suitcase before the aquarium or observatory
Tenbou-Park’s official FAQ says the observatory has neither coin lockers nor a luggage-storage service and directs visitors to lockers elsewhere in Sunshine City. This describes its storage provision; it is not a blanket ban on visitors carrying bags.
For the aquarium, check the aquarium’s visitor information for your visit. The complex’s listing of aquarium-floor lockers does not establish that a large suitcase will fit or that you can reach those lockers before admission. Choosing a suitable bank before joining the attraction queue keeps collection simpler.
Save the building, floor and bank number when you store a bag. After the aquarium, shops and city views, you will want a clear route back to the right floor.
Choose the station you will return to
Sunshine City’s access guide directs walkers from Ikebukuro’s east side via Exit 35 and Sunshine 60 Street. From Higashi-Ikebukuro on the Yurakucho Line, follow the underground passage toward exits 6 and 7.
These are different stations. If your suitcase is back at Ikebukuro Station, allow for that collection trip even when Higashi-Ikebukuro is convenient for your next train. The Ikebukuro Station luggage guide covers the railway side of the day.
Taking a coach? Sunshine City’s bus terminal is on Bunka Kaikan 1F; the Prince Hotel has a separate bus stop. Match the departure location on your booking before choosing a nearby locker.
Keep the extra case out of the rest of the trip
Silk Crane’s monthly and annual plans let you send luggage into storage and arrange later delivery. Shipping is charged separately. Send your packed suitcase from your hotel front desk or a convenience store using the address and instructions supplied after signup.
Keep your documents, medicine and belongings needed during shipping with you. Arrange delivery to a later hotel so you can continue through Japan without returning to Sunshine City for that suitcase. For belongings needed immediately after today’s visit, use local holding instead.
Can I leave a suitcase with the Tenbou-Park reception team?
The observatory’s official FAQ says it does not provide luggage holding. Use a suitable locker elsewhere in Sunshine City for same-day collection, or plan a Silk Crane shipment when you can leave the case in storage for later delivery.
Can I send luggage while I am already out in Ikebukuro?
Yes. Sign up and follow Silk Crane’s sending instructions, then send the packed case from a convenience store. You do not need to make the old hotel your sending point. The shipping-form guide helps with the waybill.
What if my Sunshine City visit includes shopping?
Keep fragile goods protected and pack purchases for transport before sending them. The Ikebukuro shopping guide covers boxed finds and requests to combine packages. You can arrange later hotel or airport delivery when you need the stored belongings again.
