5 Namba Luggage Storage Options Compared

Leave room for takoyaki, little shops and a longer Namba evening. With Silk Crane, send your spare suitcase from your hotel front desk or a convenience store and arrange delivery to a later stop.

Monthly and annual storage are available; shipping is charged separately. If you need the case after tonight’s meal, local holding is the useful comparison. Namba’s railway names matter: Nankai Namba, Osaka-Namba, Metro Namba and JR Namba are different places to return for a bag.

A Namba food walk after sending the spare suitcase

A traveler sends a gold suitcase from a convenience store, then enjoys takoyaki among Namba food stalls.
Send the extra luggage and enjoy Namba’s food stalls with a small bag.

Picture checking out, then pausing in Namba before several nights around Japan. The large suitcase contains shopping and clothes you do not need on that part of the trip. You are already out, so a convenience store is a handy starting point.

Sign up for Silk Crane, follow the supplied sending instructions and send the packed case. Keep everything needed during shipping with you. Your afternoon can turn into a takoyaki stop and a wander among the food stalls, without a storage-counter deadline for that spare suitcase. Arrange delivery to your later Osaka hotel, allowing time to receive and repack it.

Send before checkout or while you are out

Sign up for Silk Crane, use the supplied sending instructions and keep your essentials during shipping. Arrange delivery to your later hotel in Japan.

1. Silk Crane: send the bag and arrange later delivery

Choose Silk Crane when your extra luggage can skip part of the journey. Send from your hotel front desk or a convenience store, keep a smaller bag and arrange delivery when you want the stored belongings again. There is no trip to a Silk Crane storage location or return to the same locker.

Cost: a monthly or annual plan, plus separate shipping. Compare the current storage plans together with sending and return-delivery costs. Silk Crane has no walk-in counter at Namba and does not provide immediate retrieval or same-day local holding.

Sign up before sending and follow the supplied instructions. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you. The hotel and airport delivery guide explains how to plan the return. If you simply need the suitcase at your next hotel soon, direct forwarding may be the simpler choice.

2. n・e・s・t: outside Nankai’s central gates

Nankai’s n・e・s・t service and location guide lists ¥800 per item per day. The Namba counter is on 2F outside the central ticket gates. Storage drop-off is listed as 09:30–20:30, within the counter’s 09:00–21:00 hours.

Confirm the collection deadline when handing over your case. Payment is cashless, and the published baggage limit is 220 cm combined dimensions and 30 kg. This is the Nankai station counter, not an Osaka-Namba or JR Namba facility.

3. Travel Hub Namba: a street-side counter with an earlier finish

Travel Hub Namba’s storage guide lists 09:30–18:30 daily at 1F, 2-7-15 Nambanaka. Daily holding costs ¥440 for a backpack or ¥750 for a suitcase; storage is available for up to 14 days.

Walking directions to Travel Hub Namba — about 4 minutes / 280 m from Nankai Namba Station. The operator also describes an approximately four-minute walk from Nankai Namba. This can suit daytime shopping around the southern side, but collect before 18:30 if dinner will keep you out later.

4. Nankai Namba lockers: keep collection near the airport train

The Osaka tourism Namba locker guide maps banks on several levels of the station. Use the floor map to pick the exact bank, then check its current price, dimensions and collection hours.

A Nankai locker can be convenient when you will return for a Kansai Airport train. Allow time to retrieve the bag before heading to the platform. Keep the locker floor in your notes; “Namba Station” alone is not enough to find it again.

5. Metro Namba lockers: choose the line and gate together

The Osaka Metro Namba station map shows the underground layout and locker facilities. Namba serves the Midosuji, Yotsubashi and Sennichimae lines, with different gates and walking routes.

Choose a bank around your final train, particularly if your food walk ends farther north toward Shinsaibashi. Check the posted fee, size and gate-side access. A Metro locker does not require you to return to the Nankai station where you may have arrived from the airport.

Two nearby places to send your suitcase

Your hotel front desk may save a walk altogether. Already out with the case? Yamato’s directory lists these nearby places as accepting shipments. They are sending points, not Silk Crane storage branches.

The FamilyMart lists 06:00–24:00; the 7-Eleven lists 24-hour opening. Both appear in Yamato’s shipment directory and cannot send Size 180 or 200 parcels. The FamilyMart is underground, outside the east ticket gates; its street address alone does not identify the correct entrance.

Questions before choosing

Which Namba station should I return to for my bag?

Save the railway, floor, gate and bank or counter name when you drop it off. Nankai Namba, Metro Namba, Osaka-Namba and JR Namba are not interchangeable collection points. Plan around the train you will actually take next.

Can I use Silk Crane for a bag I need after dinner?

Use local holding for that bag. Silk Crane stores luggage sent in for later delivery, so allow shipping time. It works for belongings you can leave out of the next part of your trip, including packed purchases.
