The name does not guarantee lavender at its best on festival night. Use recent flowering reports for a daytime garden visit and the event programme for performances, viewing tickets and fireworks. These are different planning questions.
Build in time for a country café or a relaxed lunch. The countryside is more enjoyable with a few chosen stops than a race through every photographed field. Stay on visitor paths and out of working fields.
