Fukuoka Airport luggage storage: send your Japan suitcase from the hotel and enjoy coffee by Ohori Park before flying home.

5 Fukuoka Airport Luggage Storage Options Compared

Fly home with less when you will want your Japan belongings again on a return visit. With Silk Crane, send the suitcase from your hotel front desk or a convenience store, then arrange delivery for your next stay in Japan.

Monthly and annual storage are available, with shipping charged separately. If you need the bag back before today’s flight, compare airport lockers and local counters instead. Fukuoka’s domestic and international terminals are separate, so the collection location matters as much as the price.

Coffee by Ohori Park before a lighter flight home

Fukuoka Airport luggage storage: send your Japan suitcase from the hotel and enjoy coffee by Ohori Park before flying home.
Send the Japan suitcase and enjoy a relaxed stop by Ohori Park before departure.

Imagine a couple who visit Japan regularly. Their familiar travel kit is useful here, but it need not fly home and back again every time. Before leaving Fukuoka, they choose the belongings to keep in Japan and pack a separate bag for the flight.

They sign up for Silk Crane and send the Japan suitcase from their hotel front desk using the supplied instructions. They keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping and the journey home. There is time for coffee beside Ohori Park with small bags before heading to the airport.

For the next Japan visit, they arrange delivery to their hotel in advance. This is different from leaving a bag at the airport for a few hours and collecting it before check-in.

Leave the sports gear out of the sightseeing days

Bringing golf clubs, skis, a snowboard or a packed bicycle, but sightseeing first? Sign up for Silk Crane and send the gear from the airport Yamato counter using the supplied instructions. Keep the belongings you need during shipping, travel with smaller bags, then arrange delivery to your activity destination in Japan when it is time to use the equipment.

After the activity, you can send the gear or extra luggage into storage from your hotel, enjoy the rest of Japan or an Asia side trip, and arrange delivery to your final hotel in Japan or your Japan departure airport. Plan the delivery in advance. For a bicycle, measure the packed case before booking: cases over 200 cm in combined length, width and height cannot use this shipping service.

1. Silk Crane: send the bag and arrange later delivery

Choose Silk Crane when your extra luggage can skip part of the journey. Send from your hotel front desk or a convenience store, keep a smaller bag and arrange delivery when you want the stored belongings again. There is no trip to a Silk Crane storage location or return to the same locker.

Cost: a monthly or annual plan, plus separate shipping. Compare the current storage plans together with sending and return-delivery costs. Silk Crane has no walk-in counter at Fukuoka Airport and does not provide immediate retrieval or same-day local holding.

Sign up before sending and follow the supplied instructions. Keep documents, medicine and everything needed during shipping with you. The hotel and airport delivery guide explains how to plan the return. If you simply need the suitcase at your next hotel soon, direct forwarding may be the simpler choice.

2. Airport lockers: a calendar day ends at midnight

The airport’s locker guide and floor maps lists banks on domestic B2F, B1F and 1F, and international 1F and 3F. Prices depend on the compartment, and charges increase at midnight. The published normal maximum is seven days including the first day.

You cannot deposit or collect while the terminal is closed. The guide’s staff-support hours are not a promise of overnight locker access. Save your bank location and payment credentials, and leave time to collect before airline check-in.

3. CARGO PASS: a counter in each terminal

CARGO PASS’s published price table lists ordinary luggage temporary holding at ¥550; golf bags and some other large items cost more. Confirm the charge and permitted holding period for your bag. The same chart also lists delivery prices, which are a separate service.

The domestic counter map places the desk on B1F and lists storage drop-off 08:30–17:00, collection 08:30–20:00. The international counter map places that desk on 1F, with opening 08:00–19:30. Confirm your collection time at handoff; the operator notes that a counter may close early after all bags have been returned.

4. Yamato international: a 19:30 storage deadline

The airport’s Yamato location map places this counter on international arrivals 1F, before security, with opening 07:30–20:00. Yamato’s current holding price and deadline list specifies ¥1,000 per item and same-day collection by 19:30.

Use that earlier deadline when planning an outing. Do not confuse this with the domestic-terminal shipping desk: the storage service verified here is the international counter. Check the exact destination if you are arriving at one terminal and departing from the other.

5. Sagawa international: a later-closing counter with booking

Sagawa’s Fukuoka Airport counter guide and map lists international terminal 1F, 07:30–21:40, and storage at ¥1,000 per piece per day. Its page links online booking; the reservation confirmation provides a QR code for the handoff.

This can suit an international-terminal collection later in the evening. Confirm the available return time and any unusual bag requirements before booking. The later closing time does not replace your airline’s check-in deadline, and local hotel delivery on the same page has separate timing and charges.

Send before the airport journey when possible

Your hotel front desk or a convenience store can spare you the airport trip with an extra case. Sign up for Silk Crane before sending, and use the supplied shipping address and instructions.

If already at the airport, the Yamato international-terminal counter offers shipping as well as local holding. Ask staff about your parcel’s acceptance and dispatch timing. Keep essentials with you and do not assume a shipment handed over today can be retrieved from Silk Crane immediately.

For the next visit, delivery to a hotel can give you time to unpack and sort your belongings. Any airport delivery must follow the location and timing agreed for your booking.

Questions before choosing

Can I use Fukuoka Airport lockers overnight?

The published locker policy permits several days of storage, but deposits and retrieval are unavailable while the terminal is closed. Charges are based on calendar days ending at midnight. Check the specific bank before relying on an early-morning collection.

Does Silk Crane have a walk-in counter at Fukuoka Airport?

No. Silk Crane stores shipped belongings and arranges later delivery. The airport counters in this comparison are separate businesses. For luggage needed before today’s flight, choose local holding and allow collection time.
